Namco downloads on sale for Black Friday 2010
After this year’s Thanksgiving (November 25, 2010) dinner, you may want to head to your computer, Blackberry or Android device and do a little online shopping. Namco has announced that many of its downloadable games will be greatly reduced this Black Friday 2010 shopping season. So for one week, until December 1, 2010, you can get some iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Blackberry, Android or even computer games at some great prices.

Buy a PSPgo, get 10 free games
Anyone who bought a PSPgo after April 1, 2010 will have access to ten free games. Choices include LittleBigPlanet, Grand Theft Auto (no specific title was mentioned) and Gran Turismo. SCE UK sales director Mark Howsen told MCV this offer will not just pertain to older games. Sony is working with other developers to make its games part of this deal.
PlayStation Store Update: Tons of bonus content specials and price drops (February 21 to 27, 2010)
This week’s featured downloadable PS3 game is the long awaited missing memory sequences for Assassin’s Creed II: The Bonfire of the Vanities at $4.99 for just the memory sequence or $9.99 for memory sequence and to unlock the secret Templar locations in Froli. Another intense battle awaits for Ezio in the final missing memory sequence of the story. After acquiring the coveted Apple of Eden in sequence 10, Ezio returns to Froli to seek help from the Countess Caterina Sforza, a strong woman with a foul mouth who is not afraid to speak her mind on any topic, in sequence 11 made available in January for $3.99. But when Froli comes under attack by the Orsi Brothers leading an army of Templars, something goes wrong and the Apple of Eden is stolen sending Ezio on an important mission to get it back.

More that 13,000 games in the Apple App Store and counting
Yep, that’s right. More than 13,000 games are currently avaialble in Apple’s App Store to help drain the battery on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
According to a chart by Mobclix, there are currently 13,117 games available, comprising 20.7% of the total available apps. Approximately 73% (9500) of those are paid while 27% (3500) are free. The biggest category of games is Puzzles at 16.4% (4200) of all avaialble games followed by Action and Arcade at 11.2% each (2900).
By IndustryGamers‘ calculations, the number of games available through the App Store has doubled since March 2009.
PlayStation Store Update: The Punisher shows no mercy, bonus content, too (July 5 to July 11, 2009)
This week’s store features The Punisher: No Mercy by Zen Studios available exclusively on the PlayStation Network for $9.99. Frank Castle is back and ready to dish out a whole new kind of punishment to his enemies in this first person shooter game with online multi-player capabilities inspired by the comic book series.
Also new this week, the PlayStation Store has created a separate category for all things Street Fighter from games, game bonus content and movies like the newest movie download Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li which explores the origins of the games most popular character Chun Li. This movie is rated PG-13 and is available for rent at $3.99 for SD version, $5.99 for HD version or own the SD version for $14.99.
