Dragon Quest X will only be playable on the Wii and Wii U
Well, we now know all the basics about Dragon Quest X. Honestly, part of it is probably what people were expecting, and the other part will probably leave people a little stumped. But let’s just jump right in. In 2012, all Japanese Wii owners will have access to Dragon Quest X: Mezameshi Itsutsu no Shuzoku Online. Dragon Quest X: Five Races Awaken Online, if you want to be technical. Sometime after that, a slightly prettier version will be released for the Wii U. Yes, it’s going to be available on both systems, and you’ll be able to play with anyone has a copy of the game regardless of what they’re playing it on.
As the title suggests, online activities will be a huge factor in Dragon Quest X…
Dragon Quest X is coming to Wii
To the victor go the spoils. 1Up is reporting that the tenth installment in Japan’s massive-selling Dragon Quest series is in development for Nintendo’s console. If you thought the announcement of Dragon Quest IX on the DS was big – and it was – this is even bigger.
The game is nearly guaranteed to sell through the roof in Japan, further cementing Nintendo’s dominance this generation. We don’t know any details about the title itself, since the announcement came almost as a slip-up during a DQ event last night (according to Nintendo Wii Fanboy), but rest assured – this one will be something monumental.
