Amazon’s 19 Days of Deals rolls on in the video game section, and today the Deal of the Day covers an assortment of accessories, controllers, headsets and peripherals for consoles, handhelds and computers. Yes, any kind of gamer will be set today, provided they’re looking for an item that might not exactly be essential for their gaming experience.

Let’s just jump right in and start seeing what we can get…

Target’s July 24 – 30, 2011 ad has a buy one, get one 50% off game sale

It’s getting to be a trend where Target will leak certain sale pages from next week’s ad the Friday before. That’s what it’s done this week with it’s July 24-30, 2011 ad. This week focuses on some general deals and items. You know, things college students might want to grab before heading back to school next month.

A DS Lite now costs $99.99

We all know the DS lite is being gradually phased out. That kind of thing happens when Nintendo releases a new handheld, the 3DS, and already has two other DS varieties, the DSi and DSi XL, on store shelves at the same time. The standard DS lite isn’t being made anymore, which means it’s time for a price drop on all new models still in circulation. How does $100 sound?

That’s what the new DS lite price is – $99.99…

To Buy or Not to Buy: Nintendo’s 3DS hendheld game system

It’s out. It’s in the public’s hands and yet there you are staring into the glass case looking right at it and it’s looking right back at you. Gleaming Aqua Blue. Sleek Cosmo Black. At first glance the Nintendo 3DS is a slick piece of mobile hardware. But there is more to something than it’s looks. The ability to distort your perception of reality by way of 3D. An analog stick worthy of even the Neo-Geo Pocket’s. The thought of those two possibilities has your wallet weighing heavy in your pocket as you continue staring at the glass case. Then reasoning kicks in and you ask yourself: “Should I?”

Target’s March 27 – April 2 ad has a 3DS trade-in deal

Target’s latest ad for March 27 – April 2, 2011 is out and it’s 3DS centric. Which is only natural, given the 3DS debuts tomorrow. Unfortunately, there are no sales. The system and games will be full price, so you’ll pay $249.99 for a 3DS and $39.99 for the 18 3DS games that will be available tomorrow. There is one positive though – Target will be having a DS to 3DS trade-in event very similar to Walmart’s….

Walmart wants your DS during Take-Back and Trade-Up event

You have a DS, which is all well and good, but the newest thing is coming out. I mean, that 3DS is just so shiny, pretty and new. It’s practically irresistable. It’s also $249.99. There’s only one thing to do – try and trade in your old DS towards the next big thing. Walmart wants to help, and is holding its first ever trade-in event to make things easier. Take-Back and Trade-Up starts March 27, 2011, the day the 3DS launches, and runs until April 30, 2011.

It’s just about a one month period, during which people can bring in their old DS units to Walmart and get credit towards a 3DS purchase…
