Even though the DS is gradually reaching the end of its lifecycle, some companies are still holding out hope for it. Atlus is one, as it’s planning to release Devil Survivor 2 in 2012. Hyperkin is the other, as it’s just announced its Game Genie DS, DSi and DSi XL cheat device. The Game Genie is a combination cheat code device, game save backup system and mp3 player. Toys R Us’ November 27 – December 3, 2011 ad has deals for people who didn’t brave Black Friday

Black Friday’s come and gone, Cyber Monday is tomorrow and people are generally in full-on, holiday shopping mode. Toys R Us’ latest ad for November 27-December 3, 2011 fascilitates that. There aren’t a ton of exceptional deals, certainly nothing that compares to some of the Black Friday 2011 sales we’d seen, but there are a few deals worth noting.

Toys R Us reveals unannounced Black Friday 2011 in-store mystery deals

If you happened to “like” Toys R Us on Facebook, then a rather interesting album announcement probably showed up in your News Feed last night. It turns out Toys R Us offered its fans a firsthand look at its in-store mystery deal doorbusters! The 11 page ad shows a number of offers that will be on sale between November 24, 2011 and November 26, 2011. Surprisingly, there are quite a few gaming and electronics deals, not to mention the announcement that Toys R Us will have $199 Kindle Fire tablets in stock.

Kmart’s Thanksgiving Day 2011 sale ad is now online

Oh Kmart, it’s not enough that you’re holding a Black Friday sale. You also have to outdo everyone else and hold a Thanksgiving Day sale. Yes, on November 24, 2011, Kmart stores that aren’t in Massachusetts, Maine or Rhode Island will be open from 6am to 9pm with more exclusive deals. I guess some people will be doing more then eating until they explode next Thursday.

Anyways, while the Thanksgiving Day ad isn’t as big as the Black Friday ad, it is still packed with items and deals. Let’s check the list…

Zelda: Four Swords will be free from September 28, 2011 till February 20, 2012

Hey, 3DS owners! It’s time for more good news for you. Well, you and the DSi or DSi XL owners out there. At E3 2011, Nintendo said it would be releasing a free, downloadable version of the GBA classic The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords as DSiWare to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda. The people rejoiced and we then started checking every Thursday Nintendo downloads update wondering if it was there yet. Well, now we know when to check – September 28, 2011.

That’s the magic day when The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition will finally grace us with its presence…

Nintendo’s releasing a pink DSi XL on September 18

Well, this is certainly a surprise. Apparently, Nintendo hasn’t given up on the DSi XL just yet. Apparently, a little over a week from now on September 18, 2011, there will be brand new, metallic rose DSi XLs sitting on store shelves. They’re just like every other DSi XL out there, only pink.

Like the other DSi XLs, the pink ones will also have certain apps preloaded into them for people to immediately pick up and play…

Toys R Us’ August 21-28, 2011 ad for the week has been released and there are quite a few promotions in place to make shopping for games and gadgets seem more appealing. Whether it’s getting 50% off one game when buying one at full price or getting a gift card with your purchase, you could grab a good deal.

I bet you stopped over at Gamertell today, expecting to see the usual Nintendo Downloads update greeting you. Well, things have changed a little. It turns out Nintendo is shifting the day on which it is updating all of its digital shops, due to the 3DS.

See, Nintendo had already confirmed that the 3DS eShop would always update on Thursdays…
