EA preps for iPhone 4S with a big iOS sale
New iPhone 4S owners should be getting their new device starting tomorrow. Even though the iPhone 4S doesn’t look any different from the iPhone 4 on the outside, there are changes with the innards of the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 4S has a dual-core A5 chip which reportedly gives it seven times faster graphics and a CPU that is twice as fast as the iPhone 4. These improvements are good news for games and EA knows it. That’s why the publisher has placed a number of iOS games on sale for as much as 86 percent off.
Tetris free is now on the Android Market
If you have an Android device, you no longer have to pay for Tetris. EA Mobile has just decided to list a new product on the Android Market, and it goes by the name of Tetris free. As you can probably guess, it’s a version of Tetris that is slightly scaled back and free.
Tetris free has all of the basics you need to enjoy a good game…
Max and the Magic Marker is drawing on your iPhones
Max has a new home – your iPhone. Not just you iPhone, actually. Max and the Magic Marker is now on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Of course, that’s pretty much a given. If a game is on one iOS device, odds are it’s on them all. EA Mobile and Press Play have decided this action game with drawing elements is a perfect fit for these devices and, with their touch screen controls, they’re right.
See, Max accidentally unleashed a monster in his drawings…
EA Mobile is having a 48 hour App Store sale
EA Mobile is getting into the upcoming Valentine’s Day festivities by having a two-day App Store sale. Every game on this really long list is $0.99 cents, and there are some treats here. I suppose EA felt it was too soon to put Dead Space on this list, but there are plenty of other games to choose from such as Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Mirror’s Edge, Tetris and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
Tetris goes HD on the PlayStation Network
Pac-Man isn’t the only classic game that can receive a major make-over. Tetris, possibly the most well known puzzle game ever created, is coming to the PlayStation Network in early 2011. EA Mobile is responsible for bringing Tetris to Sony’s HD machine. The PS3 iteration of Tetris also has a few exclusive features.
EA Mobile is having an iPhone back to school sale
It’s almost time for one of the most dreaded parts of the year. Lots of students are heading back to school this month which means there’s going to be some grumpy scholastic types out there. Let EA Mobile refill the joy in your hearts by offering you up to 80% off on some iPhone/iPod Touch games.
EA discounts 17 games down to $.99 in App Store

CES 2010 Hands On: The Simpsons Arcade for iPhone, iPod Touch
The Simpsons Arcade is a 2D side-scroller based around a misadventure of Homer Simpson. One day while leaving Moe’s Tavern he spots a donut. When the donut starts rolling away, Homer chases after it without knowing the donuts terrible secret. The donut contains a flash drive that exposes a scheme that involves some popular Simpson’s characters. A silly story, yes, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from a Simpson’s game.
You control Homer’s movement with a virtual directional pad on the left of the screen. You also have two buttons on the right side of the screen for punching and jumping. Homer fights various suited goons in front of some of Springfield’s landmarks. Occasionally an icon with Bart, Lisa or Marge’s face will appear on screen that acts as a super move for Homer.
EA gives Tomb Raider:Underworld the mobile treatment
Hot off the heels of its botched attempt to acquire Take-Two, Electronic Arts has teamed up with Eidos to publish one of its biggest franchises. Tomb Raider: Underworld will make its way onto consoles in November of 2008, but it will also make an appearance on mobile devices as well.
Unlike the console versions, which are being published by Eidos Interactive, the rights to publish the mobile iteration of Tomb Raider: Underworld sits solely with EA Mobile. EA signed an agreement with Eidos giving it the right to publish Underworld, alongside mobile versions of Just Cause 2, California Games X, and Minesweeper…
