Review: Madden NFL 12
Madden NFL has finally hit its stride on the Wii. EA has been messing around with the formula pretty much since the Wii launch, making big changes such as the failed throwing motion pass system and the recent stylized look of the players. Madden NFL 12 doesn’t bring any drastic changes around, it just tightens up what’s already there and offers a few new options, creating the best Madden the Wii has ever seen.
Two execs leave EA Tiburon
There are huge changes going on EA Tiburon, the studio responsible for developing Madden NFL.
Madden NFL creative director Ian Cummings and EA Sports Chief Technology Officer Richard Wifall have both tendered their resignations. Cummings confirmed his departure on the official Madden blog. While thumbing through the same January 2009 issue of Delta’s Sky magazine with the “Chick Click” article, I almost missed a small article about EA Tiburon before tossing it into the recycling bin.
The sidebar, titled “Serious Game Playing,” (by “GB,” p. 67), is part of the magazine’s portrait of Orlando, Florida (USA), and specifically accompanies the “Partners in Progress” section of the series by Lisa Roberts.
According to the brief article, Phil Holt, EA Tiburon’s General Manager, revealed that EA “combs Madden Internet forums for player comments” and the company invites local residents and…
