Star Trek Creation Experience a good time for all

The Westin O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois was transformed into Starfleet headquarters for three days (October 22 through 25 2010) as hundreds of Trekkies – or Trekkers – gathered for the Official Star Trek Convention sponsored by Creation Entertainment. This year’s convention was a huge hit, very entertaining and very fun.

The most famous guests were Leonard Nimoy (Spock) and Christopher Lloyd (played a Klingon in one of the Star Trek movies and more widely known as Doc Brown from the Back to the Future film series). However, Nimoy canceled as the show began (due to minor abdominal surgery), frustrating fans who had arrived from afar to attend the convention. This was only a temporary setback as the rest of the activities progressed.

High Voltage Software knows how to throw a party with photos (updated)

Last Friday (October 29, 2010, High Voltage Software (Iron Man 2, Conduit, Dora the Explorer) threw an awesome Halloween party for it’s staff and the press in Hoffman Estates Illinois. And we were there.

There was live music, dancing, food, and a free bar all night. The live music was preformed by Mana Kintorso and Warm Ones who both performed very well.

They served hot dogs and veggie wraps to all the guests plus a plenty of soda and alcohol. They also had a lot of candy laying about and free glow sticks for everyone.

Plus High Voltage was awesome enough to give out free games.

THQ uses Craigslist to look for E3 models

It’s no secret that sex sells. You put an attractive model next to a product and watch the bucks roll in. Videogame conventions have been doing this for years with booth babes. E3 2010 will most likely have more than its fair share of videogame models at company events. THQ is one such company and it is looking to hire models to work its E3 2010 event.

Ahoy MapleStory! Pirates on the starboard side!

Avast landlubbers! Talk Like a Pirate Day may be over for this year, but Nexon is adding an expansion to MapleStory which will make it feel like Talk Like a Pirate Day all year long.
