EA exec exodus to social gaming continues, NBA Elite producer leaves for Zynga

Could the last member of the EA staff to leave for a casual gaming gig please turn out the lights? NBA Elite executive producer Jeremy Strauser is leaving the company to work at social gaming juggernaut Zynga, according to Pasta Padre. This comes on the heels of two executives leaving for social gaming startup Row Sham Bow. Also, former EA COO John Schappert announced he was going to Zynga in April.

Kotick vs. Schafer: Round 3

The war of words between Activision CEO Robert Kotick and Double Fine Productions founder Tim Schafer continues. This whole fiasco started in July when Schafer call Kotick a “total prick.” A couple months later Schafer responded in an Edge Magazine interview slamming Brütal Legend. Now it’s Schafer’s turn to counterattack.

Nintendo’s newest executives

GameLife is reporting that Nintendo of America has announced the hiring of two new top-tier executives. Taking over for Perrin Kaplan in the role of vice president of marketing and corporate affairs is Denise Kaigler, formerly Reebok’s head of global corporate communications. George Harrison confirms resignation from Nintendo

Since the rumors about Nintendo’s North America Marketing Department’s key executives quitting by the end of the year began, Nintendo ignored the chatter and blogs that speculated the reason is because the execs did not want to move from their current location in Redwood, Washington to new offices in New York and San Francisco.

In response to the chatter Nintendo of America’s president Reggie Fils-Aime admitted to the company’s relocation and the mass resignation of its staff.
