Dragon Age II’s Mark of the Assassin adds Tallis to Hawke’s party

I know you’re probably burnt out from all the recent Tokyo Game Show news, but Bioware has just announced something you’ll want to know about. It’s about Dragon Age II and it’s really good. Ready? Some more DLC will be arriving October 11, 2011 and it’s going to add some shiny and happy things to the game. Namely, a new quest at an Orlesian estate, some new equipment for Hawke and his/her party and, best of all, a new temporary party member voiced by Felicia Day!

Dragon Age II‘s Mark of the Assassin introduces us to Tallis…

Felicia Day to star in Dragon Age web series

Felicia Day, affectionately known by many as the “Princess of the Nerds” and star of The Guild, is starring in a live-action web series based on the Dragon Age universe. The story will take place in Ferelden, a setting familiar to anyone who’s played Dragon Age: Origins.

Fallout: New Vegas cast includes Ron Perlman, Wayne Newton and Matthew Perry

Bethesda has just announced most of the voice actors for Fallout: New Vegas and the cast list is quite impressive. Really, there’s no other word can you use for a game that features Wayne Newton as one of its voice actors. No, he’s not playing himself…

Interview: Gamertell talks to The Guild star, creator Felicia Day

I recently spoke with Felicia Day, the star and creator of the web series The Guild. Felicia was very nice and seemed to enjoy answering all my questions.

The Guild is a web-based show about six quirky gamers who play an on-line World Of Warcraft-type game together. The six players are all very good at the game but not so good with social interactions, which makes for very funny and tragic adventures.

The third season of the show is now available through CreateSpace DVD on-Demand and will also be available as a full season download through Amazon Video on Demand. The series will be $14.95 and will include bonus content not shown on the web including the Halloween episode; “Do You Want to Date My Avatar” music video; Guild applicant rejects; “How to Build Vork’s Sword”; audio commentary with the cast, creator, director and producer; Axis of Anarchy interviews and gag reels.

The Guild coming to Xbox Live, sponsored by Microsoft

Just in case you missed its excellent debut season in 2007, The Guild is an online sitcom focused on a group of MMORPG players and the problems that their guild faces both in the (unspecified) game and in the real world. The show won both YouTube’s and Yahoo’s Best Web Series awards for 2007.

After turning down sponsorship offers for more than a year due to incompatible ideas, show creator and star Felicia Day (known for her roles as Vi on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Penny on Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog) today (November 24, 2008) announced via her personal blog that the show has been picked up by Microsoft.

Xbox Live’s Scott Nocas approached Felicia with what she describes as…

Dark Horse’s Comic Con 2008 signings, events schedule

In case you are one of the lucky 100,000+ people able to get into the Comic Con 2008 doors, you might want to head over to the Dark Horse Comics booth. The company that’s keeping Star Wars comics in print, as well as making Hellboy a household word, has a huge list of talent that will be signing stuff at the booth.

Dark Horse has declared Friday (July 25, 2008) “Star Wars Day,” so there will be Star Wars comic talent there all afternoon. While all of the appearances are notable, the most recognizable names to the general public (many of whom will also be in panel discussions) include Mike Mignola, Joss Whedon, Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day and Bruce Campbell. Noe that some of the signings/appearances do require a paid ticket.

For those who like to wait in line, here’s a complete list (all times are in Pacific Time)…
