Feral Interactive planning Mac port of Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Good news Mac gamers! Deus Ex: Human Revolution will eventually let you live your own augmented lives on your computers. Not immediately though. No, you’ll have to wait. Sorry, it happens. Especially since Square Enix isn’t doing the port.

Nope, it’s all up to Feral Interactive, handlers of Mac ports like BioShock, Borderlands, Fable and Sid Meier’s Pirates! is taking care of everything…

Try the Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 Mac demo today

So you’re a closet Harry Potter fan and Mac owner, and you keep coming back to Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4, now that Feral Interactive has released a Mac version. You add it to your cart, then quickly back out and leave, over and over again. Well, it may be a little easier to take the plunge and just buy the game, now that you can actually try it before you buy it. Feral Interactive put the demo on its site today (February 9, 2011), so head over there now and give in to temptation…

Single Mac Gamer Seeks: Romans for quiet evenings of Total War

When you think of hardcore gaming action, do you also think of men in skirts and sandals parading around on elephants? Well, you’re not alone, surprisingly. When I posted an article in January of 2009 that Feral would be bringing Rome: Total War to the Macintosh, it was greeted by comments of excitement as the estimated release date approached. And passed. And approached again. And passed again. And again. And again. And again. But it works like this sometimes.

Brothers in Arms: Double Time on Macs April 16, 2010

Feral Interactive is devoted to bringing Mac gamers games that, well, PC owners have probably been enjoying for years. And now, it’s bringing Mac gamers some Brothers in Arms goodness. Feral and Gearbox have announced that Brothers in Arms: Double Time, which contains Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 and Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood, will be out April 16, 2010 and cost $29.95.

Brother in Arms: Double Time is a war game set during World War II, and is primarily a first-person shooter with some action elements. It’s based on a true story, and follows the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division as they begin fighting in Germany on D-Day. You have to command a squad and undertake missions based on real historical missions…

Rome: Total War Gold Edition shown off at Macworld 2009

Feral Interactive is working on a Mac edition of another classic game. This time, it’s Rome: Total War Gold Edition, a strategic simulation from Sega that includes Rome: Total War and the expansion pack Barbarian Invasion. Feral’s displaying the game at Macworld Expo 2009 this year, and will be selling it sometime in 2009 for $29.95.

Its being brought to Macs by the same company behind the Mac version of Black & White 2. The Mac version of Rome: Total War Gold Edition is actually facing a similar delay, just like Black & White. It originally was released for PCs in the US on February 14, 2006. Now, three years later, Feral is releasing the Mac version in March 2009.

Who knows though, it could be more than three years before we see it…

Talk about a delay – after 3 years Black & White 2 finally gets released on Macs

A long, long, long time ago – October 4, 2005 to be exact, Black & White 2 was released for PC owners. And it was pretty darn good. People acted as gods, controlling and raising huge beasts, fufilling wills of peons and whatnot.

Unfortunately, the poor Mac owners weren’t as joyous. They couldn’t play Black & White 2. Promises were made though. Macworld reported that Feral Interactive said it was working on a Mac version of Black & White 2 at the end of October, 2005.

Flash forward three years. Guess what? The Mac version of Black & White 2 actually has a release date! There’s even an option to preorder it in Feral Interactive‘s online store. Feral Interactive is going to release the game around the world on January 6, 2009, the same day Macworld Expo 2009 starts. Plus, it will include not only the base game, but the Black & White 2: The Battle of the Gods expansion pack.

The only thing I found perplexing was the price. It’s going to cost $49.95. Isn’t that a bit, I don’t know, expensive for a three year old game…
