Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot: 2010′s biggest video game busts

There have been some truly stellar titles released in 2010. Sadly though, there are some that just didn’t live up to their massive hype for one reason or another. As we stuff our face and sit down on the couch for football, family and surely some video games, Gamertell stops to remember the games that will soon be forgotten.

Final Fantasy XIII on sale for $19.99 at Amazon

How would you like to own a role playing game that won’t allow you to walk off the beaten path until 20 hours in? Maybe that’s being a bit too harsh because Final Fantasy XIII has a lot of redeeming qualities. This misunderstood RPG is on sale at Amazon for $19.99 on PS3.

Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 bundle just got more tempting

Look here ladies and gents. Amazon needs to offload some irrelevant merchandise. Every old Xbox 360 that fills the warehouse is becoming an eyesore. Amazon tried to encourage you to buy the Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 bundle for $300, but that wasn’t good enough. PlayStation Home Update: Home gets updated to version 1.35, new personal spaces

Many of you have already noticed that Home has a brand new look to it this week following the recent 1.35 update. The way a player logs into home now has been changed. Connection to the PlayStation Network now happens automatically without having to go through messages to log on and then taken to the navigation screen. The navigator screen displays favorite places, recommended spaces, personal spaces, location of friends if they’re on and of course an exploration map that is now broken down by spaces already visited or by the game’s category (i.e., sports, action, adventure, etc.). Players are no longer trapped at the last location they visited, especially if that space was dragging and keeping them from exiting the space. You can move around the world of HOME literally at the click of the button quickly. Here’s a partial list of features to expect…

Square Enix to host Final Fantasy XIII launch party in San Francisco

With only just a month left to go until the exciting and anticipated release of Square Enix’s latest chapter to the long-standing pivotal Final Fantasy series, fans will be clamoring to gain access to the Final Fantasy XIII launch party.

Square Enix will be hosting a two-part event in honor of the game on March 8, 2010, in San Francisco, California.

The first, coined the “Final Fantasy XIII Experience”, is described as a fan-focused event that will take place in the day across two 2-hour sessions. There, attendees can enjoy playing the game first hand, browsing a gallery of artwork, viewing trailers, and meeting members of the development staff. This daytime event will also feature a raffle where lucky individuals will be able to win “fantastic” prizes, yet to be announced. During this time, a select group of guests will also be invited to partake in the second part of the two-fold event, the Final Fantasy XIII launch party that will occur later that evening.
