If you own a Wii and always wanted to try out Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, but were a little leary about that $40 price tag for a somewhat experimental action RPG, head to Amazon. The Crystal Bearers is Amazon’s video game deal of the day, and has been marked down to $18.99. It’s over 50% off for one day only though (September 16, 2010), so get it while it’s still in stock…

If you want to escape the Square Enix tax, then do your shopping at Amazon today. Nier (PS3), Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers (Wii) and Dissidia: Final Fantasy (PSP) are all on sale. Since they’re all part of the Deal of the Day promotion, you better buy them now if you want them, as the sale only lasts one day or until the stock runs out today.

The best deal is Nier. It’s normally a $59.99 game, but thanks to this sale you can get it for $36.99…

Gamertell Review: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers for Wii

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers has a lot going for it. The graphics are fantastic, the story and characters are fun, and the action is varied and frantic…when you’re actually doing something. And yet, the game is never quite as enjoyable as it should be. It meanders and tends to get lost in its own ambition to appeal to the broad Wii audience. As a result, serious adventure gamers will find it too casual, while casual gamers will find it too adventurous.

Spoiler Alert: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers

There are times where a game is released where you really want to know what happened, but you either can’t or don’t want to buy or play it. To help you out, Gamertell has a brand new feature called Spoiler Alert. We’ll play the games and tell you what happened so you don’t have to spend, or waste, your time on it. This week, we’re looking at Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, the action-RPG Wii adventure from Square Enix.

So, prepare to be spoiled…

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers $32.98 for one day only

Good news for people who missed out on the $10 gift card Walmart was offering if you purchased Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers online, or the preorder deals from GameStop, Best Buy and Amazon. You can still get a good deal on the game! Well, provided you order Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers at Amazon today, January 27, 2010. It’s Amazon’s deal of the day today, and costs $32.98 instead of $49.99.

As always, the deal does have some limitations. First, it’s only going to be $32.98 today. Second, Amazon has a limited number of copies, and when the site runs out the deal’s over. That’s pretty much covers it. Since it’s over $25, it’ll even ship for free if you decide to get it.

I recommend at least trying Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers if you own a Wii…

Square Enix announces three Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers preorder deals

Square Enix has just announced the preorder offers for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, which seems appropriate since the game will be out December 26, 2009. Like most companies, there isn’t going to be one set preorder deal. Depending on where you order your copy of the game, you may be privy to one of three different incentives.

If you’re looking to save a little money, the preorder at GameStop. You won’t get any special memorabilia, but you’ll pay $44.99 instead of $49.99. It’s a nice alternative if you’re low on cash.

People who love the music from the Final Fantasy series should head to Best Buy. You’ll pay full price for the game, but you’ll get a CD sampler that includes tracks from the game’s soundtrack. Since Square Enix hasn’t revealed yet if the soundtrack will be available on iTunes, this is a good way to guarantee you’ll get the music.

The final preorder deal is available through Amazon and may just be the best of the bunch…

Square Enix officially announces the games it’ll display at Gamescom 2009

Square Enix, which also includes Eidos now ya’ know, has decided to let the world know what games the company will be showing off when it attends Gamescom 2009 in Cologne, Germany on August 19-23, 2009. It’s a rather predictiable lineup, as Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts games will be there, as well as Batman: Arkham Asylum and Mini Ninjas.

If Gamescom sounds unfamiliar to you, it’s because it’s a new entertainment and games trade fair being held in Europe and supported by the German Trade Association of Interactive Entertainment Software, and the European Game Developers Conference is going to coincide with the event, taking place August 17-19, 2009. Square Enix is already stepping up to offer support by declaring it’s attending…

E3 2009: Square Enix’s lineup surprises

It’s going to be a very busy E3 for Square Enix this year. The company is going to be showcasing 10 games this year, among them the elusive NIER, Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers. Surprisingly, there’s no sign of The 3rd Birthday, Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep or Final Fantasy XIII: Versus.

The lineup of games that will be appearing is very robust, and covers every video game platform except the PlayStation 2. So, chances are Square Enix fans will find something to oogle at the event. Personally, I’m excited to see the Final Fantasy WiiWare games, NIER and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will be there.

Let’s look over the 10 games Square Enix has stated will be appearing at E3 2009…
