A Space Shooter for Two Bucks gets an aptly named iOS port
Frima Studios thinks that the galaxy is too big to be limited to a single format. That’s why it’d be criminal to make A Space Shooter for Two Bucks! only available as a Sony PSP and PS3 minis game. So the developer has done a little tweaking and transforming and, voila! It’s coming to iPhones, iPad and iPod Touch units come July 28, 2011.
The thing is, $2 seems a little much for an iOS game. Especially if you can’t try it out. Yet, A Space Shooter for Two Bucks! name pretty much tells you the price. There was only one solution – to change the name of the game…
Frima Studios packs five PS3/PSP minis into $4.99 AWESOME Summer Minis Bundle
Frima Studio knows the best way to start out summer – minis. It makes sense really, since minis are brief PS3 and PSP games designed to be played in short bursts, and you’ll probably be on the go a lot, now that the weather’s nice and you have more free time. So the AWESOME Summer Minis Bundle could be a great way to get yourself set for the entire season.
The AWESOME Summer Minis Bundle is only $4.99 and gives you five Frima Studios games. So if you pick this up, then you can stop and play A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks!, Young Thor…
Pocket God Facebook’s second episode begins
The Facebook version of Pocket God is proving to be more similar to the original iOS versions than before, thanks to the latest episode update. Just like in the portable versions, the browser-based incarnation of Pocket God experiences content updates regularly, with the “episode” of the game changing rather than the version each time. Considering the Pocket God Facebook open beta only began about a month ago near the end of December, 2010, it’s admirable to see it already shift from Episode 1: Pocket God, antisocial to Episode 2: Clash of the Frightened…
Everyone can enjoy the Pocket God Facebook open beta
Good news for Pocket God fans, you can play it on Facebook now too! The app isn’t totally finished, but it has entered the open beta phase. That means everyone can add it to their profile and start playing with the pygmies. Like the iOS and other Pocket God games, the Facebook incarnation will have episodes, with each update adding more to the game. The first one is called “Pocket God, antisocial.”
Once I heard the news, I immediately went to Facebook to test out the game…
Frima Studio bringing Pocket God to Facebook
Pocket God‘s reach is gradually expanding. Next stop, Facebook! Bolt Creative is working with Frima Studio to bring the simulation to your browser. Best of all, this experience should be coming very soon, since the official announcement says it will be out this fall. Since winter officially starts December 21, 2010, I’d say we’ll start seeing pygmies in our browsers in the next few weeks…
E3 2010: Young Thor assaults PSP Minis
Young Thor was developed by Frima Studio, the same developers who created Zombie Tycoon for PSP Minis last year. Young Thor was developed specifically for PSP Minis. It will be playable on PSP and PS3. It features a little Thor who must slay countless monsters in order to find out what happened to the three Norns. The story is based on Norse mythology. It’s as convoluted as Greek mythology, but if God of War has taught us anything it’s that mythology can spawn a very compelling storyline in games.
Rule the undead in Zombie Tycoon for PSP
Everyone is into killing zombies these days.
A couple games, including Left 4 Dead 2 and Borderlands, will feed our zombie addiction over the next several months. Handheld zombie games, however, seem to be few and far between. Who wouldn’t want to kill zombies on the go or how about controlling them?
This is what Zombie Tycoon is all about. Zombie Tycoon has been released today (October 29, 2009) on the PlayStation Store for $7.99 and is the latest game to grace the PSP Minis library.
