Writer-director of Uncharted movie has quit the project

The Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune movie has taken a step back into development hell as David O. Russell, its writer-director, has bowed out.

Variety reports that Russell and Sony Pictures had an amicable split based on “creative differences.” Fans of the Uncharted games had more than a few creative differences with the adaptation, which would have had game hero Nathan Drake being part of a family of thieves.

A live-action Dead Space movie currently being discussed

With all the games out there, some of them seem to lend themselves very well to film. Dead Space has already shown its film potential with two animated features. While there were animation and voice acting quirks with each movie, both Downfall and Aftermath were pretty solid representations of what we could expect from a Dead Space whether we get more animated movies or actually get a live-action movie.
