The Aldi ad for November 4-10, 2009 has a pretty nice Wii bundle deal, if you’re looking to pick one up for a friend or family member this holiday season. The custom bundle is billed as a Nintendo Wii System and Game Set and gives you the console, four games and a remote golf club peripheral for $249.99. The four games included are Big League Sports, Carnival Mini Golf, Game Party and Sonic and the Black Knight. Normally all these things separately would cost around $310.

While the ad states the special deals begin November 4, the Aldi website is also showing the same bundle and it states that the special deals begin November 1, 2009…

Midway announced in a press release (February 12, 2009) that it has “filed voluntary petitions in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.”

According to the press release, the company’s recent ownership switch led to to “accelerated repurchase obligations” of debt that the company knew it could not repay. The protection will allow the company to “conduct its business operations as usual…”

Midway’s busy releasing loads of E3 information on games today. The latest press release reveals additional information on its Wii family fun game Game Party 2. The title will have four player multiplayer in all 11 games, the ability to create a profile for each player, the ability to create avatars to represent players and the ability to unlock new in-game items by receiving tickets for playing well.

The press release states Game Party 2 will be out in October 2008, though Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Midway-19204-Game-Party-2/dp/B0018RWMRS/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1216057396&sr=8-1 is still listing it as in-stock on September 30, 2008. It will cost $29.99. The ESRB rating is still pending, but it will likely be rated “Everyone” like its predecessor, Game Party.
