Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock ousted by Amazon

Amazon has jumped the gun and has started offering pre-orders for the next game in the Guitar Hero franchise. Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock is listed on the site as being released on the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. If Activision was waiting until E3: 2010 to formally reveal this game, that time has long passed.

No more playable rock stars in Guitar Hero 6

Following lawsuits filed by the likes of Courtney love and No Doubt, Activision has decided to not include any playable celebrities in Guitar Hero 6. The lawsuits issued weren’t just because an artists likeness was in the game, but rather the songs players were allowed to perform with their avatars. For example No Doubt were led to believe they would only be featured in three songs in Band Hero.

We were officially blown away when Logitech unveiled its $250 super guitar controller for Guitar Hero World Tour with all its realistic body features. That was before we knew about the Gene Simmons Axe Guitar that’s made for both Guitar Hero and Rock Band for the PlayStation 2 and PS3.
