Kmart’s pre-Black Friday 2008 game sales (November 9-15, 2008)
And the sales have begun. In this week’s Kmart print ad, the chain is promoting “Black Friday Price Available Now!” with at least one item. At the top of the game page (page 2) is Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for PS2 for $44.99 (regular price is $89.99, limited quantities and no rain checks).
The other deals include $39.99 ($20 reduction) for Brothers In Arms: Hell’s Army for PS3 and $10 off when you purchase both WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 for PS3 ($59.99) along with Viva La Raza: The Legacy of Eddie Guerrero on DVD ($29.99).

Guitar Hero 3 to feature Bret Michaels of Poison

E3 2007: Guessing Guitar Hero III’s name and hidden features
I’ve been contacting a few game companies to find out any news, information, favorite recipes, any friggin’ thing I can about their E3 announcements.
The hard part is that they all keep rather tight-lipped, reserving all announcements for the Expo, causing a chaotic cluster of information for everyone to pick through, interpret and digest.
Here’s an email I received from RedOctane (it was truly nice of them to even reply):
“We are going to be showing the newest installation of Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero III, at E3. There will be a couple of surprises in the game, but nothing that I can share before the show. “
The bit of truly useful information in that email was that the game will, at least for now, be called Guitar Hero III. It’ll likely be just that plain but, just for fun, here are a few proposed names for the next installment of everyone’s favorite air guitar style game…
