Target’s 2011 LEGO Holiday Gift Card
Each year Target brings out a bevy of holiday themed gift cards to offer a variety choices and allow you to include a bit of holiday novelty when you give someone a gift card. In the past we’ve seen some pretty cool tech cards but this year Target has decided to revive last year’s featured card. And, yes, it’s still pretty cool.
Under the heading of “WOW Holiday Gift Cards,” Target is offering a mini Lego set. While last years’ was intended solely to make the Target Bullseye dog, the 2011 version includes several more pieces to allow you to make three complete figures: The Bullseye puppy, a snowman and a polar bear.
GameStop apologizes for Deus Ex fiasco with $50 gift cards
GameStop was the subject of controversy this week when it was revealed that employees were told to open new PC copies of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and remove the OnLive promotional insert that dwelled inside. GameStop then pulled the game from shelves and said it was shipping all copies back to Square Enix. To make up for that unpleasantness, GameStop is presenting a peace offering for those who purchased Human Revolution.
Toys R Us’ February 20 – 26 ad has gift cards and an iPod Touch bundle
If Toys R Us’ Presidents Day sale didn’t appeal to you, then don’t worry. It has a standard sale ad this week as well. The February 20-26, 2011 sale ad is out and it has quite a few appealing sales. Who would have thought downloading a free game from the App Store would be worth $10,000? This is exactly what happened to Gail Davis from Orpington, Kent, UK. Davis won a $10,000 iTunes gift card for downloading Apple’s 10 billionth app. The app in question was a free game called Paper Glider.
