Fill your life with PS3 Greatest Hits with Amazon’s 10th day of Deals
Today is a pretty good day for PS3 owners. It’s day 10 of Amazon’s 17 Days of Deals in Video Games, and for one day only (December 9, 2010) a bunch of PS3 Greatest Hits games have been reduced. Well, a better term would be general hits, since some of the reduced games aren’t part of the Greatest Hits line. I doubt anyone is going to complain about that, since everyone appreciates a good sale game.
So, here are the 10 PS3 hits that are on sale today…
November 2 is pretty much God of War day on PSN
The PlayStation Store is going to be chock full of God of War goodness on November 2, 2010. We already knew that God of War: Ghost of Sparta, the latest PSP entry in the series would appear that day, and now it turns out the God of War: Collection will make it’s PSn debut as well. Which means you can probably spend around four or five hours (maybe longer) downloading Kratos’ adventures…
10 more PS3 games become Greatest Hits
PS3 owners who live in North America will soon be able to pick up some phenomenal games at a budget price. Sony announced today on the PlayStation.Blog that it has added 10 games to its Greatest Hits collection. Yup, 10! They’ll all be $29.99 from now on, instead of $49.99 or $59.99. The catch is that they’re all really great games, so you might already own them.

God of War and God of War II get the PS3 treatment
Back in April, 2009, when Sony announced a God of War III Collector’s Edition survey to determine what fans would want to see in a special edition, there was quite an outcry to bring the first two entries in the series to the PS3. The fans were so fervent and passionate that Sony decided that it would be a better idea to release God of War and God of War II PS3 Blu-ray editions on their own, rather than tacking them on as a God of War III premium edition incentive. So they did.
Just in time for the 2009 winter holidays, the God of War Collection will be debuting on store sheles for $39.99. Basically, you’re getting the original PS2 games, but they’ve been slightly tweaked, with anti-aliased graphics, the ability to show at 1280 x 720 resolution and PlayStation Network trophies. The timing should work out nicely, as by the time players of the God of War Collection finish the PS3 editions of God of War and God of War II, God of War III may already be released.
If someone hasn’t purchased the God of War PS2 games yet, it really isn’t a bad deal…
