Gamers with a lot of cash to burn, who perhaps didn’t cave and get the 3DS at launch, will find themselves lured in by a buy two, get one free sale event on select games and accessories. Sony’s promotion with Schick is completely broken
Remember that promotional offer Sony announced with Edge and Schick earlier this week? By purchasing either select Schick or Edge products, buyers could obtain free DLC from either Killzone 3, inFamous 2 or Gran Turismo 5. As it turns out, the promotion is not protected at all. It is very easy for anyone to redeem UPC codes for DLC without purchasing the products.
Shaving can get you free DLC
I can say from experience that the last thing I want to do when playing a really good videogame is shave. Shaving isn’t fun and it can hurt at times. As luck would have it, I could use a shave right now, but I’m out of shaving gel. It’s as if Sony looked into my future and knew just what I needed. SCEA has partnered with Edge and Schick to brand razors and shaving gel with PS3 exclusive games.

Target is the place to go for sale games between January 16-22, 2011. There aren’t a lot of sale games and the discounts aren’t amazing, but there are a few that are quite appealing. Plus, some of the games that are discounted are ones people would actually want to own and play. Also, there’s a system deal…

This Gran Turismo 5 racing wheel and pedal set is a whopping $600
There’s a reason why the Gran Turismo series carries the tagline “The Real Driving Simulator.” Polyphony Digital did all it could to make sure GT5 was the most realistic videogame driving experience to ever grace a console. There are some fans of the game that can’t see themselves playing GT5 without a wheel of some sort. Thrustmaster is taking things a few steps forward by offering the T500 RS wheel and pedal set for GT5. Suggested retail price? $599.99.
