A new Guilty Gear game is on the way, and only PS2, PSP and Wii owners are going to be able to experience it. Aksys has just announced that in Spring 2009 Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus, reportedly the most balanced game in the series, will be arriving in North America.

Guilty Gear 2: Overture, the tactical take on the Guilty Gear series, will be released in North America on the Xbox 360 before the end of fall 2008. It is a real time strategy game where players step into the shoes of characters like Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske and lead troops against opponents.

2D fighter lovers rejoice! Aksys Games will be bringing Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear XX Accent Core to the US on both the PS2 and the Wii this fall.

Accent Core was released in Japanese arcades in December 2006, while they got the PS2 version May 2007. The Wii version will support Gamecube controllers, classic controllers and also motion control with the Wiimote.

The Guilty Gear franchise is known for fast, fluid graphics, tons of allusions to rock music and bizzare, unique characters like a doctor with a giant scalpel, an assassin who uses a pool cue and a crossdressing, yo-yo wielding bounty hunter.
