Xbox Live Silver members get to play the Halo: Reach beta too
Starting on Friday May 14, 2010 until Monday May 17, 2010 anyone with an internet connection and a copy of Halo 3: ODST can play the beta. If you don’t own ODST you can still play Halo 3 online without an Xbox Live Gold account for these three days. All tier access will open up at 9am PDT (12pm EDT).
GameStop carrying Xbox 360 Elite Spring 2010 bundle, too
The Spring 2010 Xbox 360 bundle is no longer an Amazon.com exclusive. Amazon recently started listing a new bundle that includes a black Xbox 360 Elite console, Forza Motorsport 3, Halo 3: ODST, a 120gb hard drive, a black wireless controller, a black headset and all the necessary cords and wires for $299.99. Originally, it was the only store showing this deal, but now GameStop has it too.

Bungie asks fans to “Be a Hero” for Haiti
You can also help out by playing either Halo 3 or Halo 3: ODST on Wednesday (January 20, 2010) or Thursday (January 21, 2010). All you have to do is wear a special emblem while in the game to contribute. For every 1,000 players that wear this symbol Bungie will donate $1,000 to the American Red Cross. Bungie will donate up to $77,000 to help those in need in Haiti.
Black Friday 2009: Gamestop’s videogame sales, doorbuster deals
The Black Friday ad for Gamestop has been leaked and it has some pretty nice deals.
For example you could buy a 120GB PS3 Slim with LittleBigPlanet GOTY Edition and God of War Collection for $299. If the Xbox 360 is more your flavor Gamestop is selling a Xbox 360 Elite with Pure, Lego Batman and a choice between Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows for $299.

Master Chief-less Halo comics coming from Marvel in 2009
At this past week’s New York Comic Con 09 (February 8, 2009), Marvel announced that it will have two new Halo comics in store for fans this year. Neither of which will feature Master Chief but, instead, focus on expanding the overall Halo universe.
The first of the two planned mini-series, titled Halo: Helljumpers, is based on the upcoming stand-alone expansion, Halo 3: ODST (Recon), which will center on the elite Orbital Drop Shock Troopers that have regularly been featured in past Halo Xbox titles.
