13 Atlus games discounted on the PlayStation Store this week

There’s no fancy name or logo for the latest sale that’s popped up on the PlayStation Store, but there’s a definite theme! If you happened to check in on your PSP or PS3 last night, perhaps while you were at home enduring a blizzard, you noticed that section of the store reserved for sale games was packed with Atlus titles. And not just a few Atlus games, the ones that were good but not really big enough to get fans super excited. Major games like Persona 3 Portable were discounted…

11 Atlus PS3 and PSP games 50% for 2 weeks

Sometime between today and tomorrow, you’re going to need to pick up a PlayStation Store card. Maybe two. One of those 2gb or 4gb memory sticks might be a smart idea too. Atlus has just announced its own Black Friday-sort of sale.Technically and officially, it’s The Atlus Super-Mega-Ultra 50% Off PlayStation Network sale, but let’s just call it the Atlus PSP and PS3 sale for simplicity’s sake.

From November 16 until November 29, 2010, 10 PSP games and 1 PS3 game will be on sale for 50% off of the normal price…

Four March 2009 Atlus games delayed

If you were clambering for some of those forthcoming Atlus games, marking your calendars and placing your preorders, you should probably prepare to wait a little longer. Four forthcoming DS and PSP games from the company are going to be coming out slightly later than originally anticipated.

For example, Tokyo Beat Down for the DS, which was supposed to be out March 10, 2009, will now be out at the end of the month, on March 31. The PSP game Hammerin’ Hero was supposed to be released March 3, but now has been bumped all the way back to April 7, the same day Atlus’ other PSP game, Class of Heroes is supposed to come out.

And don’t check stores for the DS game Steal Princess on March 24, it’s going to be coming out almost a month later – on April 21. The same with Dark Spire, also a DS game…

Discover where Gen’ll be getting things done in Hammerin’ Hero

More information has been revealed about the delightfully simple and entertaining PSP game Hammering Hero, courtesy of Atlus. We all already know that it is a game where the whole point is for Gen to hammer and beat down opponents, because of a very bad man known as construction company owner Hyosuke Kuromoku and his bad employees/henchmen to save the town. Now, we know a bit more about where Gen will be fighting.

We already knew that Gen was more than a meager carpenter. Or at least, he’s a carpenter who likes to moonlight at other jobs like a DJ or chef, as well. We also knew that we could have English or Japanese voices and play the game with a friend. Now, we know that Gen will be fighting his way through the small town of Beranme Town, a city’s Busy Crosswalk, a Manly Amusement Park, the Oishii Restaurant District…
