“Hardcore violent” Suicide Squad game in the works
Acclaimed DC Comics’ scribe Geoff Johns let an interesting and unexpected tidbit slip at a San Diego Comic Con panel, saying a “hardcore violent” Suicide Squad videogame is coming.
There are also reports that a Suicide Squad movie is coming, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a game released to coincide with that.
Opinion: The necessity of casual and hardcore gaming terms
Companies must have a laserbeam-like concentration when marketing its games to an audience or risk losing millions of dollars. Knowing who your audience is the key to any business who provides a service to the public. Without this knowledge, a company could lose millions of dollars. By labeling a game as casual and marketing it as such, all parties involved stand to make a profit. Those profits can be pumped back into the company to fund big budget hardcore game for their other audience.
Pachter chimes in on “Wii HD” rumors
Following recent speculation that Nintendo is currently working on a high definition Wii for release “by 2009,” Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter has expressed his support for the idea, revealing that he is “absolutely convinced” a “Wii HD” is in the works.

According to a recent poll conducted by AOL Games and Associated Press, about 81% of all children (aged 4-17) play videogames regularly, while the statistic for adults is 38%.
