Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns 3DS gets a lucky 11/1/11 launch date
It’s time for Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns! You’ll be forgiven if you suddenly develop a case of deja vu and think you’ve heard that before. Odds are, you have. That’s because last month, Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns was released on the DS. Now it’s the 3DS’ turn.
The story and premise for both versions is identical…
New Harvest Moon 3DS game should be ripe by 2012
Marvelous AQL didn’t just announce one 3DS game today, it announced two. While the first was King of Pirates with Keiji Inafune, the second is distinctly Marvelous. Virtual farmers rejoice, as Harvest Moon will be coming to a system near you probably next year. Definitely next year, if you live in Japan. This 3DS exclusive entry will be called Bokujou Monogatari: Hakimari no Daichi (Harvest Moon: First Ground) and will focus on personalization.
In the previous Harvest Moon games, you’re given a farm and usually the only character choice you get to make is male or female…
Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns will be a DS and 3DS game
Harvest Moon games are addicting. You play one, odds are you’ll play another, even though the gameplay doesn’t vary much among entries. So many people will be pleased to know Natsume has picked up Marvelous Entertainment’s Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns for a North American release. I guess we’ll need to get our DS and 3DSes ready for some farming goodness…
Five labor-intensive games to play on Labor Day
Labor Day is the day when most of us get off a day off work but that doesn’t mean we all have to slack off in the process.
Just to keep you in the “working” mood, I have picked out 5 labor-intensive games that can be played this Labor Day (September 6, 2010). Too bad you won’t get paid for it…
Japan Import: More about Harvest Moon: Twin Villages
After a few delays, Harvest Moon: Twin Villages (Bokujou Monogatari: Futago no Mura) was finally released in Japan on July 9, 2010. This means that now we know exactly how the new game, which pressures players into picking one of two rival villages to live in, works. We also learn that the village rivalry isn’t too serious…
Natsume hitting the road again, going to Anime Expo 2010
So you didn’t get to go to E3 2010. It’s sad, but it’s in the past. Besides, if you’re attending Anime Expo this year you can get a little taste of what anyone attending E3 saw. See, Natsume is going to be attending Anime Expo for the first time, and it’s bringing all four of the DS games it brought to E3. Anime Expo attendees will get to play Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals, Rune Factory 3, Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove and Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar.
Since it’s the exact same lineup, that means that Gamertell’s E3 2010 lineup summary still works if you don’t know anything about these games, but want to. As mentioned earlier, all four are DS games. Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar comes out July 27, 2010, and follows a boy or girl who moves to Zephyr Town…
E3 2010: Hands-on Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar
I think we’ve already established that Natsume’s booth at E3 2010 was one of my favorite spots. One of the main reasons was the fact that a new Harvest Moon DS game was on display. Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar comes out July 27, 2010, so of course it was playable on the show floor.
Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar takes place in Zephyr Town, which looks like a quaint European village. You choose a hero or heroine, and once again set off to build a thriving farm and family. There are all new townsfolk, with new bachelors and bachelorettes to win over in this new addition, with a new art style for character portraits as well.
Whoever had played the demo before me had begun planting a field of turnips…
E3 2010: Hands-on Rune Factory 3: a Fantasy Harvest Moon for DS
Natsume’s booth at E3 this year was packed with cute, adorable games. One of the games I tried out was Rune Factory 3: a Fantasy Harvest Moon.
For those of you unfamiliar with the series, Rune Factory is basically Harvest Moon with rpg elements. Along with harvesting crops, your goal is also to fight monsters, buy weapons, and level up. You can even grow medicines and antidotes that you can sell or keep and use in combat.
The goal of the game is to get the humans and the monsters to get along (since they have been feuding for so long), or at least get them to team up to rid the world of evil. Maisu, the main character, is the best choice for this because he is half human and half monster and can change between forms with the “Transformation Belt”.
E3 2010: Visit Natsume’s booth and pick up a pony
There’s only an hour left of E3 2010! Before you head home, you may want to stop by Natsume’s booth (#823) in the South Hall. If you take the time to try out one of four DS games, you can get an awesome souvenier – a pony!
No, not a real pony. A stuffed pony. Well, horse really. Natsume has a treasure trove of stuffed Harvest Moon horses available. They’re plush, soft and small enough to fit into your carry-on…
E3 2010: Natsume’s bringing 4 DS games
Natsume’s going DS-crazy this year at E3 2010. The company has just announced all of the games that it will bringing to the show and, surprisingly, they’re all DS games. Three of the four games are highly expected and anticipated titles, while the fourth is a bit of a surprise addition.
If you’re attending E3 2010, you can check out Natsume at booth 823. It’s in the South Hall, right next to Namco Bandai and Ubisoft.
Let’s take a closer look at Natsume’s E3 2010 lineup…
