Hasbro’s My3D goggles available April 3 from Target

Step aside 3DS, Hasbro is moving in. Hasbro’s take on 3D on iOS is days away from being released. My3D was revealed at the end of 2010 and now has an official date. My3D will be available in Target stores and Target.com on April 3 for $35. When that day comes, even you can look as intrigued as this guy in the picture who’s holding up a pair of silly plastic goggles.

Transformers MMO coming in 2012

Here’s a bit of news that’s light on details, but big on promise. Today, Jagex and Hasbro announced a partnership that will culminate in the release of a Transformers MMO. The game is scheduled to be released sometime in 2012. What’s even better is that this game is going to release in North America, Europe, New Zealand, Latin America and Australia.

Hasbro to bring 3D content to the iPhone, iPod Touch

Apple hasn’t announced any plans to create an iDevice with 3D capabilities, but Hasbro is ready to give the iPhone and iPod Touch 3D visuals anyway. Hasbro is set to reveal a produced called My3D. My3D will be available for $30 in spring 2011.

Battleship becoming a movie, Rhianna joins the cast

Video games, amusement park rides and now classic board games? You bet.

Universal Pictures is developing a film based on Hasbro’s classic peg-and-board strategy-guessing game, Battleship. So far the $200 million production includes director Peter Berg (Hancock), actor Taylor Kitsch (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) as Naval Commander Alex Hopper and the film debut of musician Rihanna. The movie is expected to be released in theaters May 25, 2012.
