Rumor Killer: Del Toro denies working on Bioshock movie

At a sit-down panel discussion at this weekend’s New York Comic-Con, director Guillermo Del Toro (Hellboy, Blade 2) denied rumors of his possible involvement in a BioShock motion picture.

Del Toro, who has also been linked to a possible Hobbit movie, stated in the panel, “No, I’m a big fan of BioShock, but I’m not involved in creating any movie out of it.” He did end his comment with, “Not yet…”

Dark Horse Comics, Universal sign three-year movie deal

While Marvel and DC might get most of the notice when it comes to comic book-inspired movies, Dark Horse Comics has had its share of hits movies based off of the company’s comics including Aliens vs Predator, The Mask, Pathfinder and 2007’s smash hit, 300. With upcoming release of Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, Universal Studios and Dark Horse Comics have signed a three-year deal, which gives Universal Studios the exclusive rights to all comic books published under Dark Horse.
