Gamertell Review: Immortal Lovers for Windows PC
Valerie hates family vacations because she is a typical bratty, troubled, teenager. When she decides to run off and venture in the woods all by herself, she finds a mysterious and attractive man who saves her from a wolf attack. She spends the rest of her vacation searching for him and trying to figure out his story.
In this hidden puzzle adventure game, you get to see the whole story of what happens to Valerie and the mysterious man, as told through Valerie’s eyes.
E3 2010: Hands on with Mystery Tales Time Travel for the DS
I stopped by G Games’ booth today and checked out a cute little hidden item game called Mystery Tales Time Travel for the DS.
As you may know from my previous posts I love hidden object games. This one you play a traveler who goes all over the world in search of clues. You can travel to places like old Rome, France, Italy and other places.
Gamertell Review: The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes 2 for PC
Grab your magnifying glass and pipe and join Holmes and Watson in The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes 2 . That’s right, Holmes is back and needs your help in solving the various crimes he is assigned. The Lost Cases is a hidden object puzzle game where you not only find items and solve puzzles, but you also help Holmes and Watson solve a mystery.
There are 16 cases to solve in The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes 2, and after every 4 you unlock a bonus case. Each case proceeds in the same manner, it starts out with a hidden item puzzle, where you search for the items that are hidden on the screen, or find out what is different about two pictures. Then, as you click on specific items you find, you activate different puzzle games where you have to build a ship in a bottle or piece a vase back together, among other things. To finish the case, you do a couple other puzzle type games to limit out the suspect. In between each puzzle you get to see some dialogue between Holmes, Watson and other characters, and you get to see the case progress…
Showtime’s The Tudors gets a game
It wasn’t all that surprising when the announcement came that Dexter, the Showtime series about a blood splatter analyst serial killer who only kills serial killers, would inspire a video game. It is surprising, however, when a show like The Tudors gets a game of it’s very own. Merscom and Showtime Networks have decided the show is worthy of an interactive offspring.
The Tudors game is going to be a casual game that combines two popular genres, adventure and hidden object. The premise hasn’t been unveiled, but it will act as a sort of side-story and complement to the series, and center around a mystery players will have to solve.
The Tudors series covers the life of King Henry VIII. You know, the one with all the wives, many of whom end up dead…
Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena blossoms
MumboJumbo has decided to take a bunch of casual game concepts and jam them all into one game with the newly announced Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena. The title, which will be available in stores in December 2008, incorporates elements of hidden object, puzzle and adventure games. It also is the first game of the just announced Samantha Swift series.
Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena stars Samantha, as she searches through six different areas to find the shield of Athena and Athena’s missing Roses for The Secrets Lost Museum. At the same time, treasure hunter Ravena Stryker is waiting in the wings to snatch any valuable items Sam might find. So you have to help Sam find all six of Athena’s Roses, and other assorted objects, so she can add them to the museum and keep a treasure hunter from selling them. There are 50 levels and 700 hidden objects in the full version of the game, as well as Hidden Object and Puzzle-Solving Adventure modes…
Hot ‘n’ Cold : Majesco wants to play hide and seek, too
Apparently, Majesco has kept an eye on the successful Mystery Case Files: Millionheir. I mean, there’s no other way you can explain the sudden announcement of Hot ‘n’ Cold for the Nintendo DS. Majesco has decided that it also wants to send players on scavenger hunts, and so it has developed a 3D hidden object game. Hot ‘n’ Cold is still in development, but should be available in the first few months of 2009.
In Hot ‘n’ Cold, you explore a town’s locations, trying to find people’s lost objects as a member of the Hot ‘n’ Cold Club. It sounds more like Elebits for the Wii than Mystery Case Files: Millionheir though, as you’ll be picking up and tossing objects to try and find what you’re looking for. There will supposedly be 50 indoor and outdoor areas to search through. Players will also be holding the DS like a book while they search…

Find hidden accessories in Fashion Apprentice
A new fashion-based game has been launched by MumboJumbo to coincide with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Fashion Apprentice is a new hidden-objects game (much like those Highlights puzzles or Mystery Case File games) geared towards casual, female gamers. It was just released today (September 5, 2008), and is available through online game portals in trial and full versions.
Fashion Apprentice stars young Anna, who has decided she does not want to be a lawyer (like her father hoped), and abandons law school to work in her aunt’s boutique. Classy. In order to progress through the game and make Anna a famous designer, players have to find lists of items in 28 different levels. The game also contains music and dress-up mini-games, and the ability to use Glam points earned from finding objects to buy Anna new outfits or power-ups…
