Country Dance 2 coming before 2011 ends

Ubisoft’s Just Dance series of Wii games have sold extraordinarily well. So it isn’t all that surprising that the copycat Country Dance game has been successful too. So successful, in fact, that it’s getting a sequel. High Voltage Games is now working on Country Dance 2, in the hopes it will be released in time for the 2011 holiday shopping season. This time, however, GameMill is publishing it rather than Funbox Media.

Country Dance 2 will be fairly similar to the original Country Dance. While over 30 songs play, people hold the Wii remote and mimic the moves of the figures on the screen. Do it accurately and you’ll earn more points…

Limited edition of Conduit 2 will only be at GameStop

If you want to pick up a very special copy of Conduit 2 for your Wii, you’re going to have to shop at GameStop. It’s the only place carrying the limited edition of Sega and High Voltage Games’ latest FPS. To make the decision to shop there even easier, the GameStop limited edition will be the same price as the standard edition everywhere else – $49.99.

There are three things that make the limited edition version of Conduit 2 any different from the normal version.

Conduit 2 heading to North America and Europe

The May 2010 issue of Nintendo Power has revealed a game that a lot of people probably didn’t expect. It turns out Sega and High Voltage Games are working on Conduit 2, a sequel to the June, 2009 game The Conduit. And development must be pretty far along, since it has a tenative Fall 2010 release window for both North America and Europe.

It’s still going to be a first person shooter, though this time there’ll be a bit more freedom on the part of the player…

Sega and High Voltage Games teaming up for Tournament of Legends

There’s another Wii game on the horizon courtesy of Sega, and High Voltage Software is developing it. Tournament of Legends is a fighting game featuring a number of legendary creatures and figures from history and mythology. So far three characters have been announced, a gladiator, valkyrie and minotaur, so that should give you an idea of what the general character lineup is going to look like. It must have been development for a while, as the game is going to be released in stores in May, 2010.

Fighting game fans might be pleased, as multiple control schemes have been confirmed. Users can use the standard Wii remote and nunchuk combo, or plug in a Classic Controller if they prefer a more traditional control scheme. The Classic Controller Pro will be out by then, so that might be a good option if you want to be really comfortable…

Gamertell Review: The Conduit for Wii

Remember Collective Soul? They had those massive hits in the early-to-mid-90s and they still put out pretty good albums even if radio largely ignores them. I don’t play my Collective Soul CDs often but, when I do, I think, “You know, this is a very good band. As solid as you want a rock band to be. I should listen to them more often.” Then, I promptly forget about them again.

That’s exactly how I feel about Sega’s The Conduit for Wii.

Mark A. Sheppard, William Sheppard and Kevin Sorbo coming to a Wii near you in – The Conduit

The Conduit, the forthcoming Wii game from High Voltage Software, is going to have some substantial star power put into it. High Voltage Software has just annoucned that Mark A. Sheppard, William Sheppard and Kevin Sorbo have signed on as voice actors for the first-person shooter (FPS). So a father-son team (William and Mark A. Sheppard) will face off against Hercules (Sorbo)…
