Telltale’s crossover game is about poker
Earlier this week, Telltale Games teased us with a video starring four characters from different games. Tycho from Penny Arcade Adventures, Max from Sam and Max, The Heavy from Team Fortress 2 and Strong Bad from Homestar Runner would somehow find a way to gather in the same place. There will be no team deathmatches or mysteries to solve this time. All these characters want to do is play poker.

Attention Strong Bad fans, great news! Telltale has put all the Strong Bad games together on one awesome DVD. The disc contains all five of the PC games plus some goodies (and everyone likes goodies).
The goodies include: a soundtrack sampler of some of your favorite songs from the games, some desktop wallpaper of Strong Bad and his friends/enemies and tons of video footage of cartoons, hidden features and even a “behind the bad” documentary.

We come to the end of our reign of terror with Strong Bad and his crew. This was definitely a very fun way to end the series. It was unique, hilarious as always, and brought back all the elements you learned to love from old-school video games…

Game designer Mark Darin blabs about Strong Bad
Mark Darin, one of the graphic designers for the newStrong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People was available for an interview at the Telltale Games booth at Comic-Con 08, where he was thrilled to talk about the game and share some new information.
“Strong Bad will be a full out adventure game, with extra goodies and side stuff.” Said Darin when asked about the game. Darin indicated that the sense of humor fans enjoyed in Homestar Runner will continue in Strong Bad. Each episode will be supplemented with a rich and realistic storyline (realistic for Homestar, anyway). Expect to have fun with the game as well as laugh, “These episodes will be very much based on the storylines, the humor of it will be an added bonus.” Says Darin.

Telltale games has built quite a reputation for being the place to go for traditional point-and-click games and is responsible for episodic adventure games including Sam & Max series and upcoming Wallace and Gromit games. Telltale announced yesterday (August 5, 2008) that the first episode of Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People titled Homestar Ruiner will be released simultaneously on WiiWare and PC on August 11, 2008.
Homestar Ruiner will be the first of five monthly episodes of the series based on the popular animated web comic, Homestar Runner. Episodes can be pre-ordered now on…
