10 TurboGrafx Classics arriving on PSN this month

Back in 2009, TurboGrafx-16 games started showing up on the PlayStation Store so PS3 and PSP owners could enjoy classic games. Now, almost two years later, they’re heading to the North American PlayStation Store. There’s no word yet exactly when they’ll start showing up, but Hudson has confirmed that 10 TurboGrafx Classics will be showing up in PlayStation Store updates soon. The same goes for price – we’ll know how much the games will cost when they’re in the store…

TurboGrafx Gamebox is free, games cost $3.99

iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad owners are going to have another classic game outlet to resort to soon. TurboGrafx-16 games will appear on the devices via the TurboGrafx Gamebox. Best of all, the basic app itself is going to be free…

Check out the 3DS’ preliminary third party game list

Nintendo isn’t the only company getting 3DS games ready. A resounding 12 other companies are stepping up to deliver games for the forthcoming handheld. And not just so-so shovelware games, rushed out to try and coincide with the new system’s release and catch early adopters. These are big name games!

Famitsu released a list of pretty much every third party 3DS game that’s being worked on. Let’s take a look and see what we can expect to be playing in 3D come spring 2011…

Deca Sports 3 out before Halloween 2010

Those who are weak at heart can spend Halloween this year in front of their Wiis, playing the bright, colorful and not-in-any-way scary Deca Sports 3. Hudson’s just announced that it’ll be in stores October 26, 2010, giving people who’d rather not watch the latest demonic horror movie or traverse incredibly creepy locations fraught with peril another entertainment option.

The Deca Sports series is a lot like Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort

E3 2010: Hudson announces it’s game lineup

Time for another E3 2010 announcement! Hudson Entertainment has announced the seven games that it is going to be bringing to the convention to show off to attendees. The lineup this year is very Wii-centric, but there are two Xbox 360 games and a DS game to add a little variety.

Hudson has also stated that there will be an eighth game in their lineup, but if you want to see it you’ll have to wait until E3. It’s going to be a surprise announcement that will only be revealed at the event. So expect to hear about it June 15, 2010.

Here’s a look at the seven Hudson games appearing at E3…

Nintendo downloads for April 12, 2010

This week’s Nintendo Downloads update is quite sparse. One WiiWare, one Virtual Console and four DSiWare games have been added to the shops today. It makes you wish Nintendo would start adding two Virtual Console games every week again.

Though there’s a distinct lack of variety, it’s made up for with quality. The two new Wii games are Military Madness: Nectaris and Zaxxon, a remake of the classic Hudson game Nectaris and a port of the Sega shoot’em up. As for the DS games, there’s a wide variety in terms of genre. Since most of them are new games created by newer developers, you’ll have to check them out for yourself to determine how good they are.

Gamertell’s Nintendo Download picks for the week are Military Madness: Nectaris (WiiWare) and Zaxxon (Virtual Console).

Diner Dash port finally debuts on the Wii March 29

Finally! Finally Hudson’s downloadable port of Diner Dash is headed to the Wii. Honestly, I’d forgotten all about it. See, way back when in March, 2009, Hudson announced that it was working on downloadable ports of Diner Dash for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. Some time passed, and eventually Diner Dash appeared on Xbox Live Arcade (November 18, 2009) and the PlayStation Store (November 24, 2009). But the Wii version never appeared!

Now it’s finally on it’s way. On Monday, March 29, 2010, the 3D, cell shaded version of Diner Dash will be released on WiiWare. It’s essentially the PC version of Diner Dash that you know and love, only it looks a little different and it took a lot longer to appear…

Escape 100 uninviting rooms in Rooms: The Main Building

Hudson’s finally announced the March 23, 2010 release date for its Wii and DS ports of the popular adventure and puzzle game Rooms: The Main Building. It originally came out in August 2008 for PCs and Macs, and was quite popular, though many were put off by the lack of instructions. The Wii and DS versions probably won’t have that problem, since a host/guide named Mr. Book will be available to assist you and both games will of course come with comprehensive instructions.

Rooms: The Main Building is a sliding block, building escape game, which has you arranging rooms and using objects to find a way to escape from each room and building before the exit is closed and you’re trapped forever. There are 100 rooms to escape from, and you’ll be using either the remote or stylus to find your way through to safety…

Hudson’s creepy Calling is already golden

The Wii isn’t exactly known as a go-to console if you want to get scared, but it’s steadily building a library of thrilling and chilling games. One such game is the forthcoming Calling, from Hudson, which has already gone gold and will be out March 9, 2010.

Calling is inspired by Japanese horror movies. There’s a website called the Black Page, and strange things appear and happen if you interact with it. Those who visit can end up trapped in the Mnemonic Abyss. The player stumbles on the site and discovers four people who’ve been trapped in the Mnemonic Abyss, and must experience their stories and search through the memories trapped within…

Deca Sports 2 now available at a budget-friendly price

Good news Wii sports fans! Deca Sports 2 is now $10 cheaper. Hudson has announced that its sports mini-game collection is now $19.99, instead of $29.99. This price drop has arrived in time to practically coincide with the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Deca Sports 2 was originally released September 29, 2009 and is a mini-game collection. There are 10 different sports you can play, and Winter Olympic fans will probably be most interested in Ice Hockey, Mogul Skiing and Speed Skating. Or, if you want to take your mind off the cold weather, you could enjoy Petanque, Road Racing, Synchronized Swimming and…
