Kmart’s got gaming coupons and PS3 Move deals September 25 – October 1

A lot of great games are coming out on September 27, 2011, and it’s looking like Kmart will be the place to go to get them. Well, that is if you’re a member of their free Shop Your Way Rewards program. If you are, then you can get gaming coupons (read: gift cards) when you buy the three big name games coming out Tuesday. If you’re not into something new, PS3 Move items will be on sale and so will four Nintendo Wii Select games.

Let’s start with the 50% off PS3 Move items, to build anticipation for the gaming deals…

E3 2011: ICO & The Shadow of the Colossus Collection releases September 27

The Last Guardian was absent from Sony’s E3 2011 press conference, but Team ICO’s legacy still had a presence. Coming off the announcement of the God of War: Origins Collection, Sony also laid down a solid release date for the ICO & The Shadow of the Colossus Collection. Expect to see this game in stores on September 27, 2011 for $39.99, a full two weeks after the GoW: Origins Collection releases.

Team Ico’s Last Guardian and Ico and Shadow of the Colossus delayed

Well, we won’t be playing either the Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection or The Last Guardian on our PS3s this year. Team Ico just came right out and said that both games are delayed. We don’t know why or for how long, just that they won’t be showing up in our systems anytime soon. It’s quite a disappointment, especially since both were supposed to be here in 2011. To be specific, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection was supposed to be out in Spring 2011 and The Last Guardian in Winter 2011. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus were so close!

Team Ico’s Fumito Ueda made the announcement that probably broke a million hearts…

Viz bringing ICO: Castle of the Mist to North America

Viz has just announced a number of new books it’s picked up from Japan that it will be releasing in North America this summer, and one may just be required reading for gamers. It’s ICO: Castle of the Mist. As you probably gathered from that big, distinctive ICO in the title, it’s a novelization of the PlayStation 2 Team Ico game.

ICO: Castle of the Mist was originally written and released in 2004, three years after the game was released. It won’t be arriving here though until July 19, 2011…

TGS 2010: Ico and Shadow of the Colossus will get PS3 HD remakes

The Ico and Shadow of the Colossus PS3 remakes are real. They’re being announced at the 2010 Tokyo Game Show and Famitsu even has some preliminary information and screenshots. Which means all three Team Ico games will be available in HD. The remake news isn’t surprising though, as Team Ico’s Fumito Ueda said at TGS 09 that he wanted to see it happen…

ICO/Shadow of the Colossus set shows up on Walmart website

Back in June, the French Amazon site listed the Team Ico Collection for a June 2011 release. This would be one of a few high definition PS2 remake collections to be offered by Sony. The chances of this happening are high due to Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida’s positive comments when asked about HD remakes. Now Walmart has joined in on the speculative fun by adding ICO / Shadow of the Colossus to its online database.

Gamer crochets real-life Sackboy Kratos, Ezio, and more

Ever since LittleBigPlanet came out, many creative gamers have sought to replicate those danged cuddly and soft-looking Sackboys in real life. Nursing student Nikki is one such person. In between her studies and gaming she crochets, then displays her adorable creations on her blog Pig Corner.

French Amazon site lists Team Ico Collection

The Team Ico Collection is likely to contain two games – Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Both games were praised by critics even though the games didn’t weren’t as big of a financial success they deserved to be. Team Ico’s latest game, The Last Guardian hasn’t been seen since E3 2009. We are hopeful to see more of the game at the Tokyo Game Show that starts on September 16, 2010.

Rumor: Team Ico HD bundle coming to PS3

Rumors have begun to swirl about The Team Ico Bundle becoming available for the PS3 in Q1 of 2011. The bundle will include Ico and SotC with upgraded HD graphics. If this proves to be true, The Team Ico Bundle will follow the path set by the God of War Collection that released earlier this year. Team Ico’s Fumito Ueda said in 2009 he would like to see the bundle if the fans wanted it enough.

PlayStation Store Update: More bonus contents and packs available (June 14 to June 20, 2009)

This week’s PlayStation Store is featuring the game Heavy Weapon by PopCap Games rated E10+ on the PS3 for $9.99.
