Gamertell Review: Arc Rise Fantasia for Nintendo Wii
Perhaps you’ve made a long road-trip with your friends. You’re piled in a car with people you generally like, but there’s that one guy who’s so annoying that his very voice makes you want to crash headlong into a concrete divider just to shut him up. Well, that guy is half the characters in Ignition Entertainment’s Arc Rise Fantasia. And that’s a shame, because they’re spoiling an otherwise memorable trip.
Gamertell Preview: Arc Rise Fantasia for Wii
On April 20, 2010, Ignition Entertainment USA invited Gamertell to a cozy preview session of its soon to be released addition to the Nintendo Wii library called Arc Rise Fantasia (ARF).

Gamertell Review: Nostalgia for DS
Nostalgia is the work of a lot of well known developers, producers and publishers. It was developed by Matrix Software, known for Final Fantasy III and IV DS remakes, Avalon CodeDS, both Alundra PlayStation games, and Red Entertainment, which worked on Fossil Fighters DS, Thousand Arms PS1 and the Sakura Wars series. Tecmo produced and published the game in Japan. Now Ignition, which is fast becoming known for highly anticipated niche games, has brought it to North America.
Nostalgia begins with the famous adventurer Dr. Gilbert Brown uncovered a suspicious plot where a mysterious young girl was going to be forced against her will to do the biddings of an unknown, villainous man and his cult of followers. He saved her from her fate, but in the escape he fell, possibly to his doom, and she found herself floating aimlessly on his ship.
Eddie Brown is the son of Gilbert, and he has just learned his father has gone missing. Since times are treacherous, what with sky pirates and monsters always around, Eddie announces that he is going to become an adventurer and find his father. Shortly after, he joins forces with the orphan thief Pad, a precocious witch named Melody and Fiona, the enigmatic girl with strange powers whom his father was trying to save. He and his friends will not only search for Gilbert Brown, but also work to stop the cabal that is trying to use Fiona…
SNK releases King of Fighters XII patch for Xbox 360 owners
King of Fighters XII is flawed. Anyone who’s spent even five minutes trying to play using the online multiplayer would realize that. Ignition and SNK knew the problem was there, and promised that the companies would take action to make things right for their customers. Back on July 31, 2009, they teamed up to do just that for PS3 owners, promising that one for the Xbox 360 was on its way. Today (October 30, 2009), a little over three months later, an Xbox 360 patch has appeared.
This patch does everything players were asking. It fixes the lag, theTrueSkill points counting issues, character movement problems, issues that popped up when certain characters fought one another and chat restrictions. It even keeps the game running smoothly when a player is taking part in an online match with someone whose connection isn’t as strong or fast…
Marvelous Entertainment takes Arc Rise Fantasia from XSEED and gives it to Ignition
Good news for Ignition Entertainment! Marvelous Entertainment has once again given the company the opportunity to bring a stunning new Wii game to North America. Ignition has just announced that it will be translating, localizing and releasing Arc Rise Fantasia, a RPG from Luminous Arc creators Image Epoch, in summer, 2010.
Conversely, our heartfelt condolences go out to XSEED, which was supposedly going to be working on the North American release of Arc Rise Fantasia. This marks the second instance where Marvelous Entertainment has taken a title from XSEED and given it to Ignition instead. The same thing happened previously with Muramasa: The Demon Blade…
Gamertell Review: Muramasa: The Demon Blade for Wii
The Wii is gradually becoming home to games you wouldn’t expect to see on the system. More serious, artistic and mature games that are created with adults and veteran gamers in mind, and not the casual or beginning gamers. Muramasa: The Demon Blade joins the ranks of Rune Factory Frontier, Resident Evil 4, Madworld and Phantom Brave as one of those more challenging and engaging games.
If you’re a fan of or familiar with Vanillaware’s Odin Sphere or Princess Crown, then you’ll know right away the kind of situation you’re getting yourself into. Muramasa: The Demon Blade is a spiritual successor to the previous titles, and once again is a 2D, hack-and-slash adventure with RPG elements.
The Shogun Tsunayoshi Tokugawa desires power. Specifically, he wants the power of legendary swords that can collect souls and unleash unbelievable attacks and abilities. The Genroku era is already violent and tumultuous enough, but when you factor in that those who use these swords become homicidal maniacs desperate to keep attacking and killing to feed the swords’ bloodlust, allowing the shogun to accumulate them is unthinkable…
