inFamous 2 comes to PSN as a full download

You no longer have to leave the house to play the full version of inFamous 2. Sony just put the full game in the PlayStation Store for immediate download. It is selling for the normal retail price of $59.99. You can probably find the game for a little cheaper somewhere online, but chances are you won’t save more than a few bucks.

Toys R Us’ June 5 – 11, 2011 ad has DS, PS3 and Xbox 360 deals

Toys R Us’ latest ad is out and it has some old favorite promotions with a few new deals. So you’ll probably see at least one console, handheld or game you might be tempted to run out and buy. At least, if you’re interested in the DS, PS3 or Xbox 360 you will.

First, the hardware deals. The DS Lite price is now $99.99, since Nintendo’s trying to clear them out. Toys R Us is going a step further this week and selling any DS Lites it has in stock for $89.99…

Best Buy’s June 5 – 11, 2011 ad focuses on PS3 deals

Best Buy’s ad for June 5-11, 2011 is pretty big. The main focus is on PS3 deals, like discounts on certain games or accessory purchases or a gift card with a console. There’s also a big HDTV promotion involving two LG LED HDTVs and an Xbox 360 as well. So make sure you’ve saved up if you want to shop here this week.

As usual, there’s a Best Buy gift card and console deal. I mean, it just isn’t Sunday unless some store’s ad is giving away a $50 free gift card with a system…

inFamous 2 demo: Welcome back Cole

Today the PlayStation Store was brought back online. Along with the boatload of content that was published to the store is the inFamous 2 demo. inFamous 2 releases next week on June 7, 2011 exclusively for the PS3. I downloaded the over 2GB demo earlier this morning and took Cole out for his second adventure. My goal was to get an idea of how Sucker Punch evolved inFamous 2 from the original game. InFamous 2 does share a decent amount of similarities from the first game, but there have been plenty of changes as well.

Sony’s promotion with Schick is completely broken

Remember that promotional offer Sony announced with Edge and Schick earlier this week? By purchasing either select Schick or Edge products, buyers could obtain free DLC from either Killzone 3, inFamous 2 or Gran Turismo 5. As it turns out, the promotion is not protected at all. It is very easy for anyone to redeem UPC codes for DLC without purchasing the products.

Shaving can get you free DLC

I can say from experience that the last thing I want to do when playing a really good videogame is shave. Shaving isn’t fun and it can hurt at times. As luck would have it, I could use a shave right now, but I’m out of shaving gel. It’s as if Sony looked into my future and knew just what I needed. SCEA has partnered with Edge and Schick to brand razors and shaving gel with PS3 exclusive games.

How to get into the inFamous 2 UGC beta

In case you hadn’t heard, inFamous 2 will ship with user-created content capabilities. This means anyone will be able to design and upload their own missions in inFamous 2. Those missions will be streamed into the game in real-time. The tools Sucker Punch will provide are the same tools the team used to create story missions for inFamous 2. Sucker Punch needs to test this feature before launch, and you have a chance at being a part of the inFamous 2 User Generated Content (UGC) beta.

inFamous 2 lets you create your own missions

Sucker Punch dropped an electric bomb today at the Game Developers Conference. inFamous 2 will be another Sony published game that will put an emphasis on community sharing and interaction. inFamous 2 will allow players to create their own levels and share them with others on the PlayStation Network. We understand why LittleBigPlanet and ModNation Racers can pull this off, but inFamous? Consider our minds blown.

inFamous 2 Hero Edition saves the day

We won’t be seeing inFamous 2 in stores until June 7, 2011, but that doesn’t mean we can’t already start dreaming about buying that $59.99 PS3 exclusive. Or, perhaps you may be paying $99.99. It depends really, on whether you can be happy with just a plain, standard edition or if you really want to step things up and go for a deluxe Hero Edition. By Hero Edition, we of course mean it’s just the standard, goodie-ladden collector’s edition…

Sucker Punch explains the revamped inFamous 2 karma system

The karma system in the original inFamous determined if Cole was loved or hated in Empire City. The choices you made were pretty cut and dry. Do you heal hurt citizens, or drain energy from them? Do you accept a small reward for lending assistance, or do you kill the quest giver and take everything? inFamous 2 hopes to blur the line between good and evil a little more. This time around, consequences won’t be so obvious. To do this, Cole has to decide whose advice he’s going to take during quests.
