We have reached the end of an era. Insomniac Games CEO Ted Price confirmed to VG247 that his company is done with the Resistance franchise. There’s really no way to sugarcoat Price’s comment when he said, “We won’t be making any more Resistances.”

Resistance 3 has gone gold. That means the game is done and is headed to manufacturing where countless discs will be pressed and packaged for nationwide distribution. There will be a patch waiting for you when the game is released on September 6, but it is complete for the most part.

Insomniac Games had such a great response to the Community it held in 2008 to celebrate the release of Resistance 2 , the company is doing the same thing for Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time. There is no doubt that Resistance: Fall of Man has remained one of the Playstation 3′s stand-out titles.
