Cowboys & Aliens: Silver City Defense now available for iOS

When you think of Cowboys & Aliens, you think tower defense right? Somebody at FreePlay Labs did, The best-selling graphic novel is now a feature film that just happened to take the top spot at the past weekend’s box office. As you might expect, it pits cowboys against invading aliens they are somehow able to hold off despite being centuries behind in technology. The original graphic novel debuted in December 2006 and became a hit for Platinum Studios. Hollywood is in the midst of a comic book craze, so that kind of success all but guaranteed a movie.

So while some of the public is scrambling to find an iPad 2, those of us who are content with our iPhones had a a pretty slow week. iOS 4.3 launched and yeah… not much there. Our iPhones can now be used as personal hotspots – for a fee of course (unless you have discovered the magical world of jail breaking). Speed enhancements are always good though I rarely browse the internet on my iPhone. Home Sharing is great but long overdue. I guess we just have to look forward to April, the time rumors have pinned down for the next big iOS announcement – iOS 5. What’s in store for the installment of iOS is a mystery, how would you change the current operating system? Better notifications? Widgets? Flash? We’ll see what’s next soon enough…
