Ankama Convention 6 to be held March 5 – 6, 2011
Ankama fans better start making plans. The sixth annual Ankama Convention has been announced. If you want to go, you better make sure you’re at the Lille Grand Palais in Lille, France on March 5 and 6, 2011. The convention will run from 9am to 7pm both days, and there’ll be lots for DOFUS and Wakfu fans to see and enjoy.
The convention will mostly focus on the games, which is good because that’s why people are going to be there…
2010 Ankama Convention scheduled for April 17-18, 2010
The next Ankama Convention has just been announced. The fifth annual Ankama Convention, a place for fans of DOFUS and Wakfu to celebrate the games, meet and talk with Ankama employees and try out the newest Ankama games, will take place April 17-18, 2010. The event will be held in Paris at Hall 5 of the Porte de Versailles. It’s only a two day event, but the convention will run from 9am to 7pm both days.
There are three kinds of passes available, a two day premium pass that costs €35 ($48), a day pass that costs €12 ($16.50) and an accompanying pass that costs €12 ($16.50). In case you’re wondering, the accompanying pass is for parents of children under 12, and is a two day pass. It lets you into the Ankama Convention both days, but doesn’t let you get a gift pack or participate in events.

Expect to see Ankama at GamesCom 2009
Ankama, the force behind DOFUS, Wakfu and Dofus-Arena have decided to fully support GamesCom 2009 by attending the August 19-23, 2009 convention in Cologne, Germany. And when I say fully support, I mean fully support. There will be giveaways, playable games, Wakfu episodes in English and a special press conference at 6pm on August 19. The company has even set up a webpage to advertise and announce the fact that it will be gladly appearing at the event, and direct attendees to stand B40 in Hall 6, where Ankama will be waiting.
The press conference will probably be of most interest, as it is going to discuss the company’s newest games. For example, DOFUS 2.0 and Islands of Wakfu are on the schedule…
Ankama announces Wakfu for Xbox Live Arcade
Ankama is pretty well known among PC gamers. After all, they’re responsible for the wildly popular DOFUS, and the DOFUS sequel Wakfu. Well, the company is making the jump to consoles now. Its first game will be Islands of Wakfu for the Xbox Live Arcade.
Don’t go rushing out just yet and start clamoring to buy it! It won’t be ready and released until late 2009. I’m guessing that means after August or September, 2009. Plus, if you’re hoping for some sort of Xbox Live Arcade MMO experience, think again. Islands of Wakfu is going to be an action-adventure/beat ‘em up game. The only multiplayer announced so far is a two player team mode…
