E3 2008 means new information on MK vs DC Universe
Midway has been slowly releasing information on the latest Mortal Kombat game, which is no surprise since it happens to be called MK vs DC Universe and features a selection of characters from the classic Mortal Kombat games and DC comics. E3 2008 means that finally, some of the secrets surrounding the PS3 and Xbox 360 game can be revealed.
New screens show additional characters appearing in the game. It appears that Mortal Kombat‘s Reptile, Sonya Blade, Shang Tsung and Scorpion will be joining Sub Zero. Also Catwoman, Superman, Flash and Batman will be appearing to represent the DC side.
There will be two new kinds of fighting mechanics in MK vs DC Universe, which have never appeared in a Mortal Kombat game before. Freefall Kombat is one. Remember how, sometimes, the characters will bust through the floor of the stage to a new one? Now you can continue fighting while you fall. Also there’s Klose Kombat, which means that the characters will actually look hurt and fatigued while experiencing beatdowns.
