Square Enix has confirmed that it will be releasing the next spin-off in the unending Kingdom Hearts saga, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, worldwide in 2012.

In other news, it turns out the Earth actually revolves around the Sun! Isn’t that crazy?

Basically, we all already knew Kingdom Hearts 3D was going to appear everywhere…

Here’s what went down at Square Enix’s 1st Production Department Premier

At 5pm on January 18, 2011, Square Enix held it’s first Square Enix 1st Production Dept. Premier event. Think of it as a big press conference, only the company was allowing people from the Square Enix Members program to also attend and hear about the latest games the company is working on. It was a very Final Fantasy-centric event, and discussed the projects that the 1st. Production Division, which used to be the Tokyo and Osaka studios, are working on.

Let’s go through what we learned from the 1st Production Dept. Premier by game, since seven were discussed…

Kingdom Hearts 3D will have new Disney worlds

It looks like Kingdom Hearts 3D may have something really good going for it. I’m not talking about the 3D features this 3DS game will have, or the fact that it be the first appearance of the series on a whole new platform. Kingdom Hearts 3D will have something all Kingdom Hearts fans want, new Disney worlds for Sora and Riku to explore…

If you’re ready to commit to picking up Kingdom Hearts Re:coded for your DS, Square Enix has a promotion for you. If you place a preorder at Amazon or GameStop, you get a sheet of decals. Yup, stickers. Don’t make that face – Kingdom Hearts Re:coded is already destined to be the black sheep of the series. You couldn’t have thought it’d get a cool preorder item! It should be enough that it got the awesome release date of January 11, 2010 – 1/11/11…

Almost all Kingdom Hearts games on sale at Amazon

Amazon’s video game deals of the day today are likely inspired by the recent release of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Almost every Kingdom Hearts game released in North America is on sale at the site for one day only (October 11, 2010), while they’re in stock. The only game excluded is the GBA incarnation of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, but the inclusion of the PS2 port makes up for that…

Tetsuya Nomura says no Kingdom Hearts III before 2012

Tetsuya Nomura talked to Dengeki PlayStation about three forthcoming Square Enix PSP games, The 3rd Birthday, Dissidia 012 duodecim: Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix and, in doing so, revealed a tidbit about another game. When Dengeki PlayStation was talking to Nomura about the new edition of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, Nomura mentioned Kingdom Hearts III

Gamertell Review: Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep for PSP

While many fans of the Kingdom Hearts series have bemoaned the number of spin-offs and begged for Kingdom Hearts III, Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is just what they need. It’s a prequel that retains the feel of both Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II, ties all entries in the series together and delivers an all new adventure with fresh characters…

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep will only be released on a UMD

Square Enix has confirmed that the PSP game Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep will be a UMD-only release. You won’t be able to head to the PlayStation Store on launch day and just download a copy. You’ll have to head to an actual store and pick up a $39.99 UMD on September 7, 2010…

E3 2010: Hands-on with Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep has been a long-awaited title for Kingdom Hearts enthusiasts with PSPs and it looks as if they will not be let down. I was able to give the game a go at the Square Enix booth and only have good things to say about it. As someone without a PSP, more »
