The 3DS is the next revolutionary handheld from Nintendo. Its glasses-free 3D screen is not only new for gaming, but for electronic devices in general. The 3DS will be the first completely new Nintendo handheld since the release of the original DS back in 2004. Nintendo has been coming out with different designs for the DS ever since, but the games have always been the same. When the 3DS comes out in 2011, Nintendo will not cease making DS games, at least not immediately.
