New York Comic Con 2011: Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword demo
Nintendo’s big game of the show for New York Comic Con this year was Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Nintendo set up no less than seven stations in its booth dedicated to the game.

USA Today’s Game Hunters took a look at the slew of upcoming 2011 titles including sequels to Modern Warfare, Saints Row and Uncharted among others. From the start of the press conference, Nintendo had me hooked. Starting with something as influential as Legend of Zelda is a pretty risky gamble but it really paid off. It is one of the most recognizable Nintendo licenses in existence, coming in second to that lovable Italian stereotype, Mario. With a Zelda product being released for each Nintendo platform, they’re celebrating that birthday in style. Sure, some of the releases they’ve got coming out are even within this notable franchise are re-releases but the orchestra and Shigeru Miyamoto’s playful child-like glee made it next to impossible not fall back in love with Nintendo.
