I bet some of these would make nice Valentine’s Day gifts. (They wouldn’t be romantic, but they’d be cool!) Best of all, all 12 qualify for free shipping.
Here’s the full list of all the sale games you can get…
Get a free game when you buy a Wii or PS3 at Toys ‘R Us
If you need a Wii or PS3, Toys ‘R Us is the store to go to between August 29 and September 4, 2010. The store has two promotions running right now where if you buy a system, you’ll get a free game. Granted, the free game for the Wii is rather childish, but still. A free game is a free game…
Mario garb for little guys
Currently available at several of your local retails clothing establishments are shirts themed for wee games.
For only $7.99 (plus tax) at Target I found a Nintendo shirt that reads “Power Player” on the top, “Super Mario” on the bottom and features a colorful montage of the most recognizable Super Mario characters including Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Princess Peach, Toad, a Goomba, a flying turtle and Donkey Kong. There was also a shirt that features a large shot of Mario’s smiling mug (also $7.99).
Six of the most memorable video game-related kids meal premiums, ever
Sure, they aren’t nearly as fancy as $100+ statues but kids meal toys they are certainly more affordable.
While most are given through those wee servings known as a Happy Meal, Children’s Meal, Kids Meal or a similar moniker, some are purchasable as individual items at specific chains (assuming the owner or manager is nice enough to let you buy them a la carte).

Gamertell Review: Lego Batman: Gotham City Games for iPhone, iPod Touch
Put all expectations out of your mind right now that this is anything like the console games. It is not an action, peg gathering multiplayer game.
Instead, this is a collection of several familiar single-player minigames covered in cute Lego slash DC Comics style Bat-skins that range from challenging and fun to simply frustrating.

Activist group claims Lego Batman is oppressive, destructive to young children
The Boston-based Campaign for a Commercial Free Childhood is perhaps best known for joining the chorus of critics blasting Manhunt 2 when it released back in 2007. But the group has now conceived the TOADY (Toys Oppressive And Destructive to Young Children) Award.
It’s raising quite a few eyebrows with its pick to put the decidedly non-controversial Lego Batman on the list of nominees…
Time Warner intrigued by games, not planning to acquire more companies (yet)
In this troubled economy, it’s good to have a company with deep pockets supporting game making efforts.

This one’s still technically a rumor, but it comes from good sources and it makes so much sense that it warrants some speculation. Variety’s Cut Scene reporter Ben Fritz is commenting on both a CVG post and an older interview stating that Travelers Tales (makers of Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Batman more »
