Minecraft Legos could be in your future
Minecraft creations may soon find their way from the virtual world into the real one. Since the indie darling became an internet phenomena, fans have been using Legos to create custom creations inspired by it. Now, Mojang has stopped by the Lego Cuusoo site to show its support for Minecraft Legos and reveal it’s hope for official sets.
Mojang is actually working with Lego to make the Minecraft sets a reality….
Target’s 2011 LEGO Holiday Gift Card
Each year Target brings out a bevy of holiday themed gift cards to offer a variety choices and allow you to include a bit of holiday novelty when you give someone a gift card. In the past we’ve seen some pretty cool tech cards but this year Target has decided to revive last year’s featured card. And, yes, it’s still pretty cool.
Under the heading of “WOW Holiday Gift Cards,” Target is offering a mini Lego set. While last years’ was intended solely to make the Target Bullseye dog, the 2011 version includes several more pieces to allow you to make three complete figures: The Bullseye puppy, a snowman and a polar bear.
LEGO Universe closing its virtual plastic doors January 2012
LEGO today sent out an email to media explaining that, despite relatively good reviews and 2 million players, the company has not been able to make enough money to sustain its MMOG, LEGO Universe.
The company also announced that, as a result, it will be letting 115 employees go.
From the press release it sounds as if the company is instead focusing efforts on other games. LEGO Universe launched Fall 2010 with a limited trial followed by a paid monthly subscription required to play. It recently switched to a freemium model, allowing anyone to play for free but with additional items and extended content costing real money.

Warner Bros. and TT Games’ next project is LEGO Ninjago
The next Lego video game isn’t going to be a Lego version of an existing series or movie. Prepare yourself – it’s going to actually be based on a new line of Lego toys. Shocking! Warner Bros. Target’s LEGO 2010 Holiday Gift Card (with video)
Each year Target releases special gift cards for the holiday season. Often these cards involve some type of electronics but this year’s card is pleasantly log tech.
Mounted on a card featuring the LEGO logo right next to a white Target logo, this year’s holiday gift card is the Target dog in Legos. Yep, you get a little box of Lego parts and can put it together to form the iconic white dog named Bullseye with the, uh, bullseye, er, eye.

If life has taught me one thing, it’s this. LEGO bricks posses an unnatural power that bring smiles to nearly everyone who comes in contact with them. Infusing LEGO’s into everyday products is a win-win situation. If LEGO made an adult size office chair, I would be sitting in it right now. Until then, this LEGO Wii Remote will have to satisfy my needs.
