Dead Mountaineer’s Hotel closed for remodeling until 2009

Point-and-click adventure fans will be a bit dismayed to hear that the Windows detective adventure Dead Mountaineer’s Hotel has been delayed. Originally, the title was expected to squeak out before the end of 2008, but now Lighthouse Interactive has announced that Akella’s game won’t be out until early 2009. If Amazon is any indication, Dead Mountaineer’s Hotel will be out March 31, 2009 and cost $19.99…

Try Belief & Betrayal before you buy

It’s a good week for point-and-click demo releases. First there was a free Dracula: Origins demo, and now there’s a free Belief & Betrayal demo being released by Lighthouse Interactive, the European publishers of the game. The demo, which is in English, is a 570 MB download for PCs with Windows 2000 or higher and DirectX 9.0c.

The Belief & Betrayal demo gives players the opportunity to step into journalist Jonathan Danter’s shoes as he looks at a 10 year old murder case, trying to determine if and how it is connected to a 1194 conspiracy. Of course you won’t get to solve the case in the demo. No one would buy the full version if you could. You just get an idea of what mysteries lie in the full version of the game.

Lighthouse Interactive announces Undercover: Operation Wintersun for PC

Lighthouse Interactive recently (July 17, 2007) released more details for their upcoming adventure title Undercover: Operation Wintersun. The WWII-themed PC title, set to release on August 28, 2007 in North America, is being billed as an adventure title with action-spy influences.
