Fable III patch gives Jasper his voice and makes The Hobbes spawn

If Fable III has been breaking your heart with game crashes, quests that can’t be completed and a silenced Jasper, then head to your Xbox 360, pop in the game and do some downloading. Lionhead Studios has just released a patch which should remedy most of your problems. Best of all, you won’t need to spend hours downloading it – it’s a meager 5mb. It may seem hard to believe that 5mb of data can fix 29 major and minor problems, but it can…

New Fable III DLC out November 23, 2010

More Fable III DLC is on the way to give you even more of an excuse to play the Xbox 360 RPG/simulation where you lead a life and eventually rule a kingdom. Well, only one of the add-ons is really going to make you want to play more. The other two packs are supplemental and just change how your character looks or your dog functions…

Fable II is still free on Xbox Live

The price of Fable II on the Xbox Live Marketplace dropped from $19.99 to free yesterday (October 15, 2010). We figured Microsoft would discover this and immediately revert the game back to its original price. Now several hours later, Fable II is still free. If you don’t have this game, cue it up on your Xbox 360 or PC before it gets pulled down.

Be glad the Fable III Kinect minigames were cut

It’s starting to sound like the lack of Kinect compatibility for Fable III might not be such a bad thing after all. Back in August 2010, Lionhead Studios stated that the forthcoming Xbox 360 version of the game wouldn’t have the promised Kinect support. Apparently, the planned motion controlled aspects didn’t seem strong enough, and the two mini-games that Kotaku heard about at the October 11, 2010 Microsoft product showcase support that notion…

Behold the opening cinematic for Fable III

Lionhead Studios have released the intro cinematic to Fable III. This video stars a chicken who is trying its best to escape the clutches of those who would do it harm. It’s a very charming introduction to Fable III, but it also shares a deeper meaning despite its whimsical nature.

Fable III lets you create and import your own villager

Fable III has a neat surprise in store for pre-orders. If you ever wanted to designe a videogame character, Lionhead Studios is giving you the chance. Fable III has a new website available that lets you create your own villager. Those who pre-order Fable III will get a code that can be used on the villager creator site. This code saves your villager to your Xbox Live account and can later be transported into Fable III.

Xbox 360 has not reached its graphical potential

Molyneux spoke with GI.biz about the graphical capabilities of the Xbox 360 as a studio spends more time with the GPU. Molyneux said something interesting. He believes that developers (at least Lionhead developers) squeeze all they can out of the Xbox 360 even though they are very familiar with its processing power. As such, the team has managed to add improved graphical elements to Fable III.

Microsoft’s Milo will not make it to market for Christmas 2010 (updated)

UPDATE: It looks like Kotaku has received official word that Aaron Greenberg simply didn’t finish his sentence. Oops. Milo is still very much alive and well and should be coming next year. The original post, prior to this update, can be read below.

One of the absolute biggest games of E3 2009, hands down, was from Lionhead Studios and it was all about the life of a small boy: Milo. Kinect was still Natal and people were incredibly wary of just what the technological wonder could do. Milo, an interactive simulation of a boy, attempted to bridge that gap and make believers out of them.

Milo was and assumedly still is a program that was designed specifically for Kinect that allowed the player to interact with a simulated boy as he went about his daily life. The player would respond to Milo and Milo would respond back, supposedly unscripted.

Fable 3 for PC confirmed

Fable III for PC will cost $49.99 for either the physical of digital version of the game. Fable III Limited Collector’s Edition was announced as well. The collector’s edition will only be available for the Xbox 360. Be prepared to throw down $79.99 for the collector’s edition. You will receive both in-game content and real world items in the collector’s edition.

Fable III may be coming to PC

Back in 2009 Lionhead said the success of Fable 2 would determine whether a PC port of the game is made. Even with Fable 2‘s success, it never was released on PC. Perhaps Lionhead and Microsoft have finally gotten the picture.
