TwitchTV app comes to iOS devices

You’ve heard of Justin.tv right? If not, just know it’s a website that lets anyone live stream almost anything they want. Gaming is just one of the many broadcasts Justin.tv gets on a daily basis, so it created a specific division dedicated to video games called TwitchTV. With TwitchTV, you can watch people play all kinds of games such as StarCraft II, Battlefield 3, Team Fortress 2 or any other game that has a significant online audience. Today, TwitchTV released an app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Justin.tv is creating a new esports site for gaming

Justin.tv is a site where anyone can plug in a camera and broadcast over the internet in real-time. A lot of the time, gamers will stream what they’re playing for everyone to see. I bet if you visit Justin.tv when a big game is released, you’ll find numerous streams of that game for at least a week. Justin.tv also has iOS and Android apps available. The Android version is free, but the iOS version is $4.99. It used to be free, but that all changed not too long ago. The site is currently hiring an engineer to assist in building a new esports site. It will focus on gaming.

European 3DS event will be streamed live by Nintendo

Nintendo is going on a world tour promoting the upcoming Nintendo 3DS. Things began to kick off during Nintendo World 2011 where gamers were able to get hands-on time with many 3DS games. A launch line-up for Japan was also announced. Come this Wednesday (January 19, 2011) Nintendo will be holding a European 3DS event in Amsterdam. You won’t have to wait around to hear all the 3D-infused announcements because the whole event will be streamed online.

Microsoft livestreaming its CES 2011 keynote

CES 2011 is in our sights. Even though the show deals primarily with gadgets and technology, it also presents a good opportunity for gaming. Microsoft happens to be one of the bigger companies at the show that’s in the business of gaming and everything else. Microsoft is bound to announce some interesting things about Kinect, and you can get in on the action without actually being there. Microsoft is streaming its entire keynote on Facebook.

GoNintendo and Ustream.TV to show us Best of NES for Child’s Play

Its always wonderful to see people coming together to help support a charity. The latest kudos goes out to GoNintendo and Ustream.TV, which are teaming up to create an eight hour “Best of NES” event to benefit Child’s Play. From 8am until 4pm EST on November 22, 2008, GoNintendo’s podcast crew and some others will all join together to play NES games over a live-stream.

So the podcasters and associates will be playing NES games (so far Castlevania, Punch-Out!! and Super Mario Bros. have been mentioned as possible titles) for charity. They’ll also be talking to the people who are watching them via GoNintendo’s Chat Room and there will also be some prizes given out. The goal of the event is to raise $1,000 for Child’s Play. GoNintendo will also be making an initial donation of $300 to the charity as well…
