Stars of Dead Rising, Monster Hunter to join Lost Planet 2 cast
Capcom, masters of the video game cameo appearance, are on pace to outdo itself with Lost Planet 2.
In January 2010, the publisher announced a cameo for the game that, at the time, looked like an early April Fool’s joke: Gears of War‘s Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago.
Now pics from Famitsu reveal a Monster Hunter from that popular franchise and zombie killing photojournalist Frank West from Capcom’s Dead Rising. While Marcus and Dom are 360 exclusive characters, the Monster Hunter will only appear on PlayStation 3.
Lost Planet movie will have Dark Knight-sized budget
Capcom wants to make big moves with its original properties, seeing the Resident Evil film series as a model for how successful its games can become in Hollywood. Capcom Head of Character Content Business, Toshihiro Tokumaru, mentioned that the budget for the Lost Planet movie is between $150-200 million.

Lost Planet:Extre me Condition demo pulled from PS3 for technical issues
After a year of waiting for Capcom’s Lost Planet: Extreme Condition demo for the Playstation 3, it was pulled by Sony with 24 hours after being released on the PlayStation Network.
Chris Kramer, Son’s senior director of communications and community, posted on the PlayStation Blog that the multiplayer demo was removed because Sony wished to “address issues that have come to light.” There is no timetable of when PS3 gamers will get a re-release of the long-awaited demo…
Playstation Store update for the week of February 7-13, 2008
This week at the Playstation Store, we have some more Rock Band songs, a Lost Planet demo and Crash Bandicoot: WARPED, the third Crash Bandicoot game, among other stuff.
The trilogy of the PS1 Crash games wound up an unfortunate victim of timing, starting with the first game being sandwiched between the unique look of Sega’s NiGHTS Into Dreams and the unique everything else of Super Mario 64. They’re a highly derivative but nevertheless fun bunch of platformers and WARPED was constantly lauded as the franchise’s apex.

ESRB rating indicates rumored Lost Planet Colonies on its way
The ESRB, a non-profit group that assigns ratings to the video games industry, has just given Lost Planet Colonies a Teen rating for Animated Blood, Mild Language and Violence.
