The latest sales estimates on Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWtOR) are at three hundred million units – that’s the population of the United States. BioWare’s controversial MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic, has been given a release window. Sources speaking to MCV said the game will be released around the world in September 2011. The Old Republic is rumored to have a subscription payment structure that will charge players a set amount of money to play each month.

Star Wars movies returning to theaters in 3D beginning 2012
Lucasfilm Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox film studios announced earlier this week that 3D versions of all six Star Wars movies will be released in theaters beginning 2012.
The companies will release the 3D films according to the story’s chronology, so the 1999 film Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace will be shown in theaters first (in 2012) even though it was the fourth film released. It’s not clear whether the original versions of the films or the revamped “Special” versions will get the 3D treatment. Some reports indicate one film will be released each year following Phantom Menace.
