Important Importables: Image Epoch
Import game collectors love the PSP and DS because the systems are region-free, so if you own one, odds are you’re always looking for new, well-made games to acquire. Imageepoch games are a good bet, especially if you enjoy RPGs. While the company is rather new, it’s managed to release quite a few solid games. Unfortunately, only four of them have managed to receive North American releases.
So this week in Important Importables we salute and take a closer look at the developer, and now publisher, Imageepoch…
Atlus decides to spoil fans this season
Atlus has just announced that all three RPGs released by the company this holiday season will come with soundtrack CDs and have artbook preorder bonuses. Atlus had previously that soundtracks would accompany Eternal Poison, Luminous Arc 2 and Persona 4, and now has decided to offer 60-100 page art books as well. GameStop/EB Games, Amazon.com and Game Crazy are the four retailers specifically mentioned for the deal, but other stores should offer the artbook preorder as well…
Luminous Arc 2 will brighten up an otherwise dreary November
I knew it! I knew Atlus would step up and bring North America Luminous Arc 2: Will! It is bringing the DS strategic RPG as Luminous Arc 2 in November, 2008. In even better news, Atlus will be offering the same promotion with the translated version of the game that the Japanese version received – every copy of the game will come with a CD soundtrack. It will jack the price up $10, making the game $39.99, but at least you’re getting something special. IGN received the exclusive inside look at the game and the right to reveal the good news.
Luminous Arc 2 is a lot like Luminous Arc. There are witches, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection battles with other users and the ability to bond with characters after battles. Except Luminous Arc 2 expands on it all. Roland and his friends, from Carnava, are charged with going after the Shadow Frost Witch, who has left the Rev Magic Association and hunkered down in the forbidden land of Granend. It has more side quests, branching story options and multiple endings.
