Madden Curse Update: Drew Brees survives regular season unscathed

NFL players may start a petition for Drew Brees to appear on the cover of Madden NFL every year. The Madden Curse superstition suggests that something horrible will happen to a player appearing on the game’s cover. Some of these discounts are so good, you can probably skip Black Friday visits altogether. Don’t take my word for it. Keep reading to see if Target will have something on sale that you can cross off you gift list.

August NPD sales: All hail Microsoft and Madden

The August 2010 NPD numbers are in. These industry sales numbers are dated from August 1, 2010 to August 28, 2010. There aren’t a whole lot of surprises here. The top two games of the month are Madden 11 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The Xbox 360 is also the top selling console of the month with over 356,000 units sold.

Madden Curse Update: Drew Brees ain’t fraid of no curse

“Here’s what I have to say about the Madden curse: Destiny is more powerful than a curse. Whatever is meant to be will happen. Faith.”

NFL superstar, Super Bowl MVP and Madden NFL 11 cover boy Drew Brees posted these words to his Twitter account shortly after learning he had won fan voting to appear on the cover. This is the first time EA has let fans vote for the cover athlete…

Video games savings for the week ending September 4, 2010

This week calls for a whole new batch of videogame deals for us to partake in. A lot of retailers are putting Madden 11 on sale this week. Some have better deals than others, but we’re going to list more than one Madden deal just in case you don’t live next to a certain outlet. Most of these savings are in place from August 29, 2010 until September 4, 2010.

EA adds ragequit penalty to Madden 11

Since it introduced the world to the online pass, there has been increased scrutiny on EA’s online offerings with sports games. That’s only fair. If you’re going to charge gamers (at least those who purchase the game used or rent it) for online play, it better be worth the price.

Where to get the best deals on Madden NFL 11

Madden NFL is a sales juggernaut and retailers count on it to get you into the store to buy even more stuff. That’s especially true during a year in which videogame sales are down. Here’s a look at what’s being offered for Madden deals:
